| Well... You can absolutely see where they wanted to focus on the 3D aspect of MH4 for the 3DS... Even without the 3D the game looks great but... It is easy to tell where the focused on the 3D. | |

| I had already posted that video in the other thread, but w/e. Wished they showed more environments, or at least more variants of jump attacks. | |

What... what is even... It's so majestic... (I just spent a good five minutes on this image alone...) Anyway, back on topic. I had my doubts about this new weapon. But now that I've seen it in action... I want it soo bad! Question, though: Will all the versions of that weapon have the same "Skyward Sword" Beetle, or will each version have it's own type of bug? How will they borrow ques from the monster they come from?

| Oh, I really hope they don't keep the same bug. I'd like to see many different bugs that resemble the monster the pole is made out of. Or maybe customization options like there were for bowgun in tri, but for a blademaster weapon. :o
And if they do, I hope they put some form of rhino beetle in. That would be pretty sweet. /yes/

| That would be sweet. But then, if you could customize by selecting different bugs to use, would that mean they each get a unique trait? As in, certain bugs give you standard buffs from monsters (Health, Def Up, Atk Up, etc), while other bugs give you more specialized buffs (Elem Res Up, Status Res Up, etc)?

| I kinda hope the beetle's abilities don't vary too much, weapon-to-weapon, honestly.
I always wanted a glaive/naginata class, though. You know, besides the random Lances/Longswords that look like them. The beetle's pretty nice since with all the buffs you can get you won't have to carry as many items, hopefully. This is by far the most complex fighting style in the game, though. I thought the Switch Axe & Gunlance were pushing the boundaries of what's feasible, but this, as ZANY as it is, still seems to fit well into HM lore. Remember the concept art featuring the hunting falcon? Well, it's clear this was born from that. I actually think a beetle has more to offer than a falcon, anyway. I mean, how would a falcon do anything except attack or act like the Zelda boomerang? The beetle can do that, plus suck monster blood, haha.
I like how the speed boost seems to slightly increase attack speed... this weapon is really mesmerizing to watch... endlessly flipping and spinning around, dancing the blade.
They added two new attacks for Lance... as if lancers needed more maneuvers, lol. Love that backwards sweep, though! Definitely helps with the poor mobility of the lance by acting as a quick turn after a little tactical spacing (aka retreating).
The Bow's second quick shot is cool, since the Bow has such low DPS most of the time, what with the constant charging.

| What if they made it so we could choose between the various beetles, each one having the ability to do different things. Say one gives you the speed boost while another buffs attack? Or maybe it could just be an aesthetic difference and as we use the weapon more or something like that we could get new beetles that look cooler, or you could customize your own beetle just like you customize your character. I would like that. | |

| I wonder from where all those bugs come from... Imo only 1 bug its ok, one bug that you can equip similar as you carry bullets on your bag. | |
