I actually find it hilarious how they portrayed the characters (ash especially LOL) Besides that, I don't think anyone (even Nintendo or Gamefreak) has anything to worry about.

Silly part is they don't even protect most of the animals they receive. Look up "Penn and teller peta" on youtube if you want to know more, but be warned it's kinda explicit.
