| I'm just wondering if there will be a downloadable demo of this game and whether it will be for both the WiiU and 3DS. I'm also curious about when they will release a demo if they do because I'm anxious to get acquainted with the different control scheme. | |

| If Nintendo and Capcom really wants it to sell, there'll likely be a demo available for both systems. It's obvious that they're really trying to get people hyped up for the game... So I think it's unlikely that we won't see a demo for both systems. | |

| There's a mall nearby where I live that Nintendo tends to put up a demo booth during the holiday season. It always has a bunch of different games on different platforms, as well as a small lounge area and a ballot to win nintendo schwag. (last year's big demo was skyward sword; the year before that was Pokemon B&W.) Does anyone know of other places where Nintendo does this, or is this the only place of it's kind? (I kinda doubt that...) If so, what do you think are the chances of seeing the NYCC/TGS style demos at those booths this year? | |

| There will most likely be a 3DS demo, the same as in Japan downloaded through the eshop.
As far as a WiiU demo it's unlikely unless they have an in store display somewhere.
I would not likely exspect to see the demo however until closer to the end of February or the first of March.
As far as Capcom.. It's already been announced that Nintendo will be incharge of EVERTHING in regards to MH3U in the west and Capcom is, well pretty much staying out of it. In fact the only thing Capcom is basically being attached to with MH3U in the west is being its publisher. Everything else they have basically passed off to Nintendo. So the demo release, marketing and everything is on Nintendo.

| That's interesting...I wonder why Capcom would have Nintendo take over everything pertaining to Monster Hunter in the West and not want all the glory for themselves so to speak. | |

| Capcom has had wanted little to do with MH in the west from the beginning. Even with Tei it was mostly on Nintendo and Capcom ignored any amount of success Tri had at all.
This go round they pretty much let go of EVERYTHING to Nintendo to include the servers, sales, marketing, promotion and so on. Pretty much if MH3U succeeds it will be up to Nintendo and the fans. Capcom then can do one of to things, ignore its popularity in the west again (which is unlikely) if it does do really well or Capcom can take credit for it as being part of their strategy all alone. Which is more likely. And if for some reason MH3U does not do well.. They just blame Nintendo and a lack of western fans.
So it's basically the best move for Capcom and for us in a way as we might not have gotten the game at all if Nintendo wasn't willing to take the risk.

| So... would Nintendo be in charge of setting up all the event quests? And potentially redoing the event weapons? | |

| Ehhh no. Capcom would still send out the event quests and everything, it will just be sent out through Nintendo's servers. | |

| Gotcha. The way you described Capcom's attitude, I thought they were just printing discs and leaving the rest to Nintendo teams. | |

| ^ keep in mind once all the event quests are set up they are done and don't really need to be worked on again. And other than the changes to the event weapons for the west... The set up for the event quests are basically done. So other than special things here and there with the event quests Capcom really doesn't have to do too much at this point.
Sooooo, there is a bit more to it but not much that can't be programmed and set up before hand. Keep in mind though many people at Capcom USA are big fans of Monster Hunter as wellas many EU Capcom employess so, I don't see them staying out of it or events. So mostly this is in regards to Capcom Japan.
