| today, I've completed low rank village quests. I did a pink rathian, crimson qurupeco, and nibelsnarf, all which took 20 minutes. I was constantly hitting all oh their faces with my hammer, but it is weak because it needs high rank materials to upgrade. I think these quests are somewhat intermediate, but man, I keep bouncing with this green sharpness. I don't think high rank is hard, but having good weapons early on is hard to come by. I just thought this was some cheap way to increase difficulty.
What do you think of High Rank?

| Multi-monster quests usually feature weakened versions of the monsters being hunted. HR has a bit of a challenge, but the only quest that has grinded my gears thus far is the multi-Qurupeco quest (probably because I haven't upgraded my Frozen Core with HR parts yet.) And that's mostly because of the frustration of not getting Sonic Bombs right and then having to dodge Deviljho while trying to take out HR Qurupecos with only roughly 650~ raw attack and green sharpness. | |

| Not really a cheap method they can't make it as difficult as the guild hall if they did many players would not make it past hr 3-4 it's more of a a taste of what high rank would be. Once you start playing in the guild hall. | |

| I don't find it difficult at all. i flew through High Rank 6-8 star using the Peco Swax, Ludroth GS, and Lagia HH. I mainly used the Peco swax, then upgraded my GS to Finblade, and thats taken me all the way to Brachy. Other than that i am flying thru village high rank. | |

| Yeah, HR was pretty easy for me too.
If you're using hammer Sai, I would really reccomend the Rhenoplos+ set, really easy to get since its not a boss monster, gives good defense for early high rank battles and gives Focus + KO skills, which are great for hammer. It helped me clear high rank much quicker.

| MH3U has.. let me see if I can recall.. 10 levels of difficulty?
Level 1 Low rank village
level 2 high rank village
level 3 low rank port solo
level 4 high rank port solo
level 5 g rank port solo
level 6 low rank port multy/online
level 7 high rank port multi/online
level 8 g rank port multi/online
level 9 arena (solo/multi depending as you go up to the last one)
level 10 event quests (some of the difficulty levels on event quests have been tweaked very high from what has been reported thus far.)
If you follow this order (aside from the arena and event quests doing those acording to HR) you should be faced with the most steady flow of difficulty throughout the game. ...

| I thought that port monsters, solo or multi, were the same regardless?
And I have a hard time believing g-rank solo is easier than low rank multi.

| ^ It is basically an example of "Order of progression" overall.
Though you would be correct on the placement of most of the solo High/G rank being more difficult than Multi/Online Low/High.

| I've been soloig multi Lo quests after only partially getting through the Village Hi quests, and I would say that Village Hi is more difficult than Multi Lo. But perhaps I'm wrong because the idea of difficulty might be being scaled on how dangerous the quest is, but instead on how difficult it is to clear in 5-10 minutes. | |
