High rank woes

So village HR is kicking my butt. I failed horribly at the jaggi/pink rathian quest. I'm using LR volvidon armor(upgraded w/stones to better def than most starting HR sets).
I am mostly using long swords, though I do have limited experience with lances. If anyone has any suggestions on which armor set to focus on that would be a big help.

really? I am using LR volvidon armor and I am some quests away from ivory lagiacrus

If you don't mind sacrificing some DEF points, the Yokumo Sky set supplies several nifty skills. The HR Jaggi set is also very good, but if you're having trouble with HR Jaggi I highly recommend checking your weapons. If you haven't gotten the Barbarian Blade from the Argosi Captain, be sure to do so. You want to make sure that all of your weapons are upgraded as much as possible with LR materials.

I am doing fine against hr jaggi/ludroth. Even purple ludroth is manageable. Maybe I just need to get wroggi s to deal with pink rathians poison attack. She keeps kicking my behind.

I dont have a problem with high quest,but it just takes a while.
Remember to upgrade your weapons,you dont want to fight a pink rathian with a rare 2,wont you?
