| So, what exactly doesn't show up on the forecast?
I've never seen things like I.Lagia, or a Jho on there for example, or is it just, " go look for half an hour and see if they're there "
Is there a decent guide kicking around I've missed?

| This is handy though!
I've done offline, I just never see guys like I.Lag and Jho on the Moga Forecast? So I'm wondering are they 'random' spawns in the woods, or just hard to get on the Forecast?

| I've gotten ivory to show up on my forecast a few times, so I can at least confirm that one. As for Jho, I haven't even after fighting a few in the woods that have spawned. The really big monsters like that tend to be rarer than the common ones like blue bear and the great and powerful jaggi, even though about half of the high rank free hunt should be 1k point monsters. | |

| It's good to check moga forecast even in the Tanzia port. There's option for that. Deviljho and Ivory Lagi occurrence is super rare, because it gives rare ★7, which can be used to get praised idol mask (free farcaster). My advice it to cap them instead of kill, because i read somewhere that it increases the chances of getting this commodity. | |

| They're just really rare. I've seen Jho appear on my forecast once, and I missed the chance because people called me to hunt online ; ; | |

| pawprint gathering quests. instead of taking up an inventory slot you can use the shakalaka. not sure on how much gathering they would do in that mask though. | |

So say full pouch. Use farcaster that's IN YOUR ITEM POUCH not the mask. You've now got a space left in your inventory. Now you can pick up paw pass in blue supply box. End quest. Or, full pouch. Use cha cha to get you to base, Oh, I need to discard something. ??? Useless mask is useless.

| with the farcaster you have effectively chucked one item to begin with. in both you have one less item space than just walking. but the mask has the bonus of being free. | |

Yeah, but technically chucking something you never had is easier then making the choice to have to throw something away later. I'd much rather just take one with me, and count it as an essential like a pick ax is, the one space you lose? you make up for in saving like a minute of walking. after 10 PP quests, that's 10 minutes saved, that's easily another quest which is a good 20+ extra items as opposed to the one extra in each 10 of those PP's you just did. Hope I'm making sense. Also, the 'free' part is handy, but lets face it, Farcasters aren't rare or hard to make :P You can buy them and the ingredients from the Granny. I don't mean to sound arguementative or harsh, just putting my points across .

in terms of items it's the same whether you use the farcaster, or the mask. i suppose it's just a preference on chucking an item or not getting it at all, and if you care about the small amount of money saved or the 7 star commodity.

| Idol mask will end up saving money in the long run though. I got mine yesterday when I was lucky enough to have an ivory lagi show up. Also, if you can get a full pouch from a normal G-rank volcano run I would be very impressed, so the taking up a slot thing isn't really a good reason not to get it.
Not to mention he gets a new move that you can't get with other masks. From what I've seen it's pretty effective, flinched the monster each time he used it. I would say it's easily one of the best masks in the game, also is nice to show off.

| I personally never have a money issue, there is an exploit you can do for money that takes a minute or two, which'll end up allowing you to buy about 2-3 far casters per turn, and not to mention, the amount of L.narga's I've killed? I made about 1.5 mil off HALF his parts, and have about 200 far casters now, realisitically, that's alot of paw pass quests. more then i'll ever probably do. I much prefer the pitfall mask or the cat mask, Stealing me deviljho gems and brachy pallium is far better then flinching a monster. And pitfall allows me to para/KO (depnding on weapon ) a monster and get more damage in then a single flinch. Yet again, down to preference | |
