I hate the village. I don't share these online problems because I got the 3DS version so I would never have to hunt with anyone. but god... so many things wrong or just weird with the village.
~I dislike how the game is pretty much Tri with added content rather than its own entity seperating it from Tri. Like how MHP3 was it's own thing but still contained the connection to the game prior in the generation. could have really done something grand here but nope. I would have really liked to seen somewhere new that could flow a unique story together, as little as the MH series is focused on its storyline.
~Brachydios. It's not him I hate, it's how underplayed he is I hate. 1st off, Brachy is the Flagship for MH3U. Wouldn't tell that with the western release of the game. while it was a good marketing ploy with the WiiU it really took away the focus from Dios. But even still In-game Lagi is the bigger focus, because of my 1st irk above. When we finally get to Brachy his build-up is that the Argosy captain saw it once, and that's it. Again, they really missed the marker with that there.
~ I don't like Port Tanzia, for different aspect that how hunting with others works. I feel that capcom made Loc Lac a bigger thing rather than the "new Loc Lac" on the title that's much more grand scale. Loc Lac had some interestng elements to it;
The fact it got an introduction video
some memorable characters like the haiku guild master, the hippy/dreadlocks guy, the "opulent hunter" everyone hated cause she wouldn't let them leave the forgery.
The sandstorm/Jhen Mohran gimmcik that tied in with the city
Yea Loc Lac was well thought out and put together. But the port... it's just kinda there. No cool thing really about it. i mean, the Jhen fang surrounded by a lake was cooler than the lighthouse in Tanzia. there's no one really memorable or unique in port )besides the guy that is LITERALLY from Loc Lac). not even a cutscene or something that introduces it.
I have quite abit more detail-orientated things I could go on about. But the gist i really feel like more thought was taken into consideration with the past 2 Games, whereas MH3U could have been more than just the large collection of monsters in 1 game.
