Getting more NPC allies?

I recall various statements where people were saying how you have more than one NPC ally... but I'm not really seeing any note on the wiki, the guide only seems to mention Cha-cha (and it goes to his page when you look up Shakalaka and view friendly ones).

I'm wanting to have a second one for when I start to solo the online stuff (since I have 3DS and not the WiiU version)... So.. kinda curious about all that.

EDIT: Also I recall people mentioning things like "Ultimate" mask and "Rathian" mask but neither were in the guide on the wiki (Can't post links as a new member) any idea what's going on there?

Are you checking 3 Ultimate's section or Tri's section? Because when I searched Ultimate's section and clicked Cha-cha Guide(lol that should be fixed) it gives me information on Kayamba, your second shakalaka ally

I really wish we could better organize the wiki. It's getting confusing as numbers go up

Still, I'm bothered as to why people often talk about how those two are the best of the bunch if they're the only ones you can get...

cuz in other games you could only have retarded cats as companions
