Barioth changed alot

I never realized it but he lost his main moves from tri. His moves that are like the Naruga's moves.

Or does he just not do them as often anymore?

I don't really fell the difference really aside that he does a hipcheck more often what move are you thinking of in particular he no longer does though?

He became easier. He isn't as fast and flash bombs actually stop him from moving. Once you flash a G Rank Barioth, you can kill him a few rounds of normal 2 shooting with goldbeard HBG.

Barioth has always done that. After all it is originally based on Narga's move platform.

Interesting, when I stared playing 3U I thought it felt less like Narga than the Tri edition. Granted it's because he only seems to want to use his tailwhip when you decide to kite around it. It's only new move that I noticed was the shoulder slam which it likes to spam on BMs who get too cozy with it's face. The issue I'm having with it is that it feels much less impressive than I feel it should, mainly because it has low HP like most of the other pseudowyverns, and in the context of the late game which are mostly multi-hunts it has a saddening low total HP which makes it short work with any sort of status proc.

Maybe it's just me, but that feels right with Narga who also tears your HP bar into ribbons if you can't dodge it's tailslams. or Gigginox who makes your health quickly skip towards death, but Barrioth just inflicts iceblight and hits you with only slightly impressive damage.

Oh yes I remember this move, and yeah I don't recall seeing that one specific move anymore in MH3U it's mostly just swing around and frontal charge.

That's because they replaced that move for his body check attack.

Wasn't it an intentional change to make Barioth less like Narga, since both were featuring in the game? I'm sure I read that somewhere...

They did the same thing in MHP3rd, Narga is supposed to be faster but Bari is supposed to be stronger. I haven't had a chance to fight Bari too much but if I recall, Bari's hits were quite a bit more devestating than Narga's in 3rd, just slower. Basically, Narga is a sleek, fast panther and Bari is a large, powerful tiger.

narga does more damage to me (when it hits) than barioth though...

Might be true for 3U but 3rd, Bari hit a lot harder.

Bari's "suppose" to be the weaker in 3U.

but narga stops more often and is just slower. narga's fairly easy for being ranked higher than barioth.

You have innate evade+1 when you fight narga and its subspecies. No joke just YouTube some mhfu videos of narga and see how easy he is to moi.

All you have to do is run circles around it, wait for it to get tired, and then just wail on it.

in tri even low rank bari would beat you senseless.....now hes a HUEG jackass who's special ability is dying...
