| Agna Z & Stygian Lance is best Miralis urgent set. Move the moment you get control of your character, otherwise you'll get meteored, possibly meteor combo'd, possibly stunned and, if you're a gunner, possibly carted. Use any dash juice, seeds or drugs when you think a meteor won't be coming for you you. Go for head, chest and claw breaks either in water or when tripped. Go for tail bulges on land, stay between legs once tail breaks He goes down on all fours, get the hell away from dat. The 4 legged dash does crazy amounts of damage for some reason, but is probably the only threatening move he has. (Well maybe his butt stomp too, but that's a little easier to block) You can try to block it, but it's safer to be out of range than to risk blocking and getting hit from behind. If his head moves to his right and his wings start to glow (Kind of hard to describe, but you should be able to recognise it), he's about to unleash a barrage of meteors. Rush him and he should flinch out of it and fall. Dragonate if you get the chance, but don't bother trying to lure him towards it. Waste of time IMO. Same goes for Ballista. It's not like Jhen where you have moments where you can't get close enough to use your weapon, the time spent gathering ballista shots could be spent actually hitting him. | |

| Agree with Snagglux although I use hammers so any high level weapon with Slime or Dragon element will be decent against him. Honestly one of the more disappointing fights as he isnt that dangerous in my opinion. Just have to be patient and get your damage in, which is pretty easy to do.
Alatreon offline is the hardest solo in the game if you ask me.

| Imho in this quest your worst enemy is simply "time". I face it with fully upgrade Agna Z + Skysunderer. Didn't cart even once, block everything he throws at me literally everything with mega dash juice, and finished quest just barely in 45 minutes. I nearly give up hope at the end. Also the only breaks i did was tail because to be save i just stay between his legs all the fight. | |

| His weak points are the ball on his tail if you are on land, and his chest if you are underwater.
Doesn't really matter what weapons to use but hammer really isn't a good choice IMO. An HBG with siege fire pierce lvl3 (Griffon Blazooka) can pretty much stun lock him and can break his parts very easily. The ammo you should be using in order is Pierce lv3, Pierce lv2; then Normal lv3 ONLY aiming for his chest because you get the most bounces from there, then Normal lv2.

Slime may not be the most effective against him, but it's never bad against anything.

| YouTube crimson fatalis runs. Anything that works on crimson is infinitely more effective on miralis since his head isn't the only optimal hitzones. | |

| I did him a few days ago. My set was Helios Z with X Coil gemmed for HG Earplugs, Sharpness +1 and Evade Distance Up. I used the Stygian Vanagloria (fully upgraded S. Zingore SA). He was actually much, much easier than I expected. I used a lot of Mega Pots (brought material for 20, but used 14), Armor Seeds and Might Seeds, along with Defense (L) and Firestarter from the Felyne Kitchen. I got carted once or twice (don't remember xD). He was frustrating to fight, but I killed him under 30 minutes (even though I honestly missed the Dragonator the second time). He hits hard and he's hard to evade, but you'll have plenty of time to hit him and deal damage.
Just keep focused and don't get frustrated when he hits you a few times. On land, focus on his legs and tail-weakspot. In the water, focus on whatever is closest xD. When he turns to face you, you turn with him in order to stay away from his front. Be careful, especially underwater, try to have at least 75 HP (max HP is 150, so half of that should be enough to survive 1 heavy blow or 2/3 lighter ones).

| Honestly, Dire Miralis is just a huge teddy bear. He will try to hug you from time to time but it is really easy to not get hit by that especially when you are in the water. The set that I use is the Rath Soul Z set with tremor res gemmed into it. And I love using the Grongigas Hammer. He doesn't do a whole lot of slamming on the ground, but I really hate to stop swinging my hammer because the ground rumbles or he tries to scream at me.
When I fight him, I break his shoulders and wings while he is in the water. As long as you position yourself to the left or to the right of his shoulders he won't be able to hit you even when he tries to fall on you. When he crawls up on the land I unload 20 barrel bomb+ into his chest and then start on his legs and tail. The bombs really help out when you want to break everything on this guy.
When he goes down on all four legs to dragon rush, that's when I post up on the ballistae to lure him over to the dragonator as I get a few good shots to his face. As long as you are quick you can get him in the chest with the dragonator, but if not it is always good to hit big dragons with large pointy sticks!
Other than that, everything is just rinse and repeat. 30-35 minutes of this and he will be one dead dragon in the water where you are able to get all 9 carves from him. And better yet, you wouldn't have used very many pots.
