MH4 Streetpass feature and Random Quests

 

 
 
Monster Hunter 4 Will be adding a new level of questing to solo play and streetpasses with a “Random Quest Generator” function. All quests will take place in the "Unknown Forest" (basically Moga Woods) and will be generated based on where you are in the game.
 
The Monster, Area and Quest reward will be randomly generated. From there you can do the quest as often as you like until creating a new one. However... Each time you complete the quests the difficulty as well as rewards will increase. (From known information so far.)
 
The current Random Quest you have on file will be attached to your Guild card and will also be shared Via Streetpass for others to attempt.
 
 
“Excavation Equipment”, (a new type of mining) will be unlocked through these quests as well as some Monsters only being available through the RQG. This will make streetpassing others and solo play a more important part of MH4.

To clarify, you can now mine for "rusted" armor and weapons. You have to restore them like the rustshard weapons we're used to (even the armor). These can be from any monster and will have somewhat randomized skills, slots, defense, elements, etc., AND can even be from monsters not even in MH4. The armors especially will also have unique looks to them, be it a different shoulder guard, color, an ornament over here, etc.

You can save up to 50 of these random free hunt quests, with up to 10 from others. The rewards you get are better if you do your own, by yourself. However, doing them online with others will be faster, though the rewards or items might not be as good. Seems pretty legit, huh?

I'm all down for it. I only knew it to be solo but the lessening of rewards for multiplayer makes sense and sounds pretty cool. Also glad it's not limited to just one quest.

This is interesting. Adding more depth to MH with a random quest generator. Not bad, you get to do more quests after all of them are CLEAR.

Yeah, "create your own quest" would be a mess...

I like that u can farm up the monster and get good rewards if u do it by yourself so i think this is cool

I think this just turned in to a "create your own quest" thread. Not that bad of an idea for an actual Thread though..

I like the fact about random generation.. As well as the mining, just a little less. The other day I got a rusted Lance(Undertaker Lance) and Bow.. Which I threw out. But I kind of regret that..
