So, got the switch the other day. Playing Zelda on it and possibly going to download some Europe and Japan games to it sometime soon.

I really like the fact that you can have an account on the system for any region you want and be able to play the downloaded games regardless of profile you are on.

Noticed several of the Japan games have full English already. I have gotten a few games on my Vita from other regions but was impressed with how much easier it was on the switch.

I'm waiting for the first Switch MH so I can get that a year before the US does.

Just a heads up though, if you want to add money onto your account you need to have a credit/debit card that can be used in multiple regions. Some banks have that ability blocked and you need to get it activated.

I got the switch, and I am putty on zelda's hand. That is what I always envisioned Link's Adventure to be. I seriously do not know how they are going to top this one. Any expansions they release down the line, I will be getting as well...

As for future games and region releases, I will have to look into that. I was rather disappointed that so very few games were released.... but if I have the world at my fingertips... hmmm.

Sadly, not everyone plays Zelda but it seemed to be more than enough to sell the system in record numbers. It beat the Wii launch sales in just 2 days and Gamestop is saying it's the best system launch in years (even over ps4 and xb1)....

So there's something to be said about the strategy of having Zelda pretty much carrying the system at launch on it's own. Most likely any other big name game launched along side it would have lost sales in the long run.

They reverse-Murphy'd it for sure.

If I were an investing man, I would dump my money on nintendo stock for the next few years.

Interestingly, Nintendo stock has been really good for several years. What a lot of people don't always realize while Nintendo stock may take a 3 million dollar plunge it's usually right after a 12 million increase. But just hearing the drop part by it's self is what makes many people shy to invest.

Anyways, Nintendo still has several things they can bring out that will give huge sales boosts. Metroid.. Please.

O man... I could really use a GOOD metroid game too... that last "game" was just slightly worse than garbage for me. They need to go back to the true bounty hunter in a massive world route again.

Apart from that, they need to once more bring some good RPGs into the mix. And definitely some MH style games to round out everything else. (At least that is what I go for... some people will want sports, or racing, or platformers... bah).

How about this for an idea: A duel disk attachment that allows you to ACTUALLY duel other people, yugioh style. Kids would eat that up. ... and some adult kids too.

They can basically do that with the NFC... I still want to know where the fully supported NFC collectable card game is at that should have been out years ago!

I hope the next Metroid keeps the First Person HUD with displayed stats inside the helmet and adds in a very in depth first person ship system that allows for upgrades mapping and battles. And throw in both space travel and on planet open world.

O man... some worlds should have puzzles like they normally do in Metroid games, but I would LOVE a procedurally generated world in a new iteration of metroid. *drools*.
