I have already killed yama, but I didnt really have a tactic for him, I used the icicle daggers (or the fully upgraded version of that dual blades) and I killed him at around the 40 min mark. Is there a better strategy for yama, BTW, I solo a lot so solo strategys are what I am looking for.

Well ds has the shortest reach out of all the weapon classes so i wouldnt recommend it because it and SnS can barely hit the tentacles unless yama uses whisker/tentacle attacks. I suggest using a longer weapon like a lance or gs but for lance this is what i did. All credits to shimmerarc
