Help HH newbie

My memory stick with G saves lost ( /versad/ ), so i bought a new one + started new char in MHFU. To make a new game at least a bit interesting i decided to choose the weapon i was using very rarely. This is hunting horn...

1) Is there other skill which boost HH buffs duration? Except flute expert.
2) Is it possible to kill most monsters with HH like with GS?
3) Why HH have O button weak attack? It cant even kill vespoid.
4) Is there bonus damage when you hit monster head with hammer/HH or there just stunning effect?

1. No there isnt
2. It's possible to kill every monster with any weapon..............Though hunting horn is just a water downed hammer.
3. i always thought hunting horns were speed buff => super pound spam => figure 8 attack when ko'd =X
4. There's no "bonus" damage when you hit the head specifically but most monsters tend to take the most impact damage at the head so you definitely want to aim for the head for ko's

Going to learn how to attack head without being killed :/
GS is far much easier to control.

O button attack = Jab. The question was why hh need it? In my opinion its useless.
Even killing small insects with super pound is faster. Maybe it causes only low raw damage, but normal with elemental? Dunno.

gs isn't really easy to control it's just safer since it's hit and run.

As bows and light bowgun are to heavybowgun
As SnS are to duals
Hunting horn is to hammers as in it loses damage wise by far by its big brutha da hamma

Its easier to hit head with fully charged strike with GS than with hammer/hh pound.
Just my opinion.

Its useless to get hh with status attack, right?

pretty much but i'm assuming chaos shroom =X don't expect to kill anything too quickly if you dont know how to use recital mode to attack though since those are the hunting horns most powerful attacks
