Agnaktor Help?

Hi, everybody. Just joined a few moments ago /yes/

I've slayed giant dragons, a rolling-dinosaur thing, a high voltage sea serpent, and an angry red dragon, but one monster has kicked my backside and scared the heck out of me numerous times: The Agnaktor I'm lucky if the [advance] quest pops up and i have some allies in the city who know what they're doing instead of getting scorched, But... a few quests later, still no agna quest /sad/ And i had 3 awesome hunters with me...

So i decided to do it offline so i can finally make the Dancing Flames, been eye-ing that sword for weeks. It's Blue Sharpness will extend with my Ceadus set, and will deffo replace Wyvern Blade 'Fire.'

Problem is..
a.) Other than the essentials (Traps, potions, etc.) i have [i]NO IDEA what to bring. Bombs?
b.)I know he is weak to but the shell..it's annoying. Even my Inceadus can't pierce that shell. How do i crack him open like a walnut?
c.)I do not know how to fight against him. Offensive? (Los set, Attack up L, Critical Eye +3)
Defensive (Fire res is pretty high [30], HG earplugs)
d.)What weapon style is best VS. Agna. I am a LS/S. Ax kind of guy, but is it just down to personal preference?


What am i supposed to do? becuase i definitely have no idea what am i supposed to do in that fiery ring of death against an angry fire fish.

a) Sonic Bombs can make him stuck for awhile when he digs and isnt in rage mode.

b) Water and Ice is good. Since you mentioned Inceadeus. You have a switch axe, so use its Sword Ability to be able to cut through anything without bounce. You can also stand near the lava so if he dashes to you, he will touch the lava and soften up once more allowing easier hits.

c) Offensive is good. The only fire move you have to watch out for is the laser, but its easy to see when he will shoot a laser as well as easy to avoid. Defensive will make it way too long to kill it as Agna already has an armor mode. Playing defensively will just stretch out the battle, in which case players are likely to die when quests are extended for a long duration of time.

d) Any weapon is usable. However LS and Swaxe are beautiful choices for Agna. Mostly because they both utilize a "minds eye" or ESP ability which allows them to not bounce on Agna's harden armour. LS has the Spirit Tech, and Swaxe with Sword Mode.


Just keep on hitting and exploiting his movements when he stops after each attack. And keep on practicing ;).

THANKS! Really helped a lot. Though i was hit here, i got incinerated there, i got smacked by his tail, i managed to kill it. But i'm missing 2 claws, and 2 tails, so off we go, ino the volcano, to slay the beast /yes/ His attacks we're pretty easy to predict and dodge, because it followed most of the lagi's movements, making him suck at land. And my Barbarian blade whopped his hot 4$$ with 40% affinity and a large amount of attackk topped off with water damage :D
