Deviljho Help

I'm currently doing the village quests and recently unlocked "Will of Fire", the high rank jho quest. However, I keep failing it. Are there any tips for Jho fights? I'm currently using high rank barroth (should probably get better armor. Any recomendations?) and a Dios hammer +.

Use armor and a weapon...

Main thing is good def and to learn Jho's moves. He uses dragon so try not to have low def agains dragon and take enough healing items. Don't rush the fight take your time. You can trip him a lot if you focus on his legs and he has a hard time hitting you if you find the safe spot between his legs but it doesn't always last.

Monster Hunter is about observation and learning as much as it is weapons and armor. Learn about your prey.

Poison meat is worth setting down too, as Jho is very weak to it now. If you can use lance it's usually the most recommended weapon for fighting him, it is how I usually do it.

Evade is pretty useful with Jho, not needed, but useful. You can youtube a lot of Jho vids and find some help there as well.

Lance is bad. I used the same strategy as I did in Tri and get 12 minute kills with Abyssal's lance (I got 7-10 minute solos without adrenaline/heroics in Tri) but when I used Dual Swords, my average kill time is 5 minutes. Dual Swords are too fast for Deviljho. It's my new preference.
