My favorite mh monster isnt in mh4...Anyone else upset that their favorite isnt in it?

I love mh 4,with it's excellent gameplay, environment interactions, and the new monsters. But i am upset that my favorite mh monster isn't in mh4.....I would tell you but i want someone to guess it.Lets just say,it happens to be angry when you throw sonic bombs at it....But is it my only favorite mh monster missing or is yours too?

I'll admit, an old friend of mine missing in MH4 would've been a huge disappointment, but they're still in...
Deviljho have always been a fun fight for me, even when I shouldn't want to fight them (I was a low rank to watch out for on Tri before I was a high rank), so the fact that they're still going to be around is a good one for me. If they kept Savage, that's all the better, though it wouldn't be that big of a disappointment if Savage was taken out, in my opinion. If Abyssal isn't in 4, though, then there's my upset D:

Yea,it was narga.I love the way narga attacks and moves,its as if he is a ninja.He is prefect for with mh4 since enviromental destruction, and the movement in the game is faster than the other games.THEY PUT IN THE BUNNY BUT NOT NARGA,/mad/. Still seeing rajang back i can do a dbz joke once in a while since he is gonna be throwing boulders at me.Whats your favorite monster dcj91x, and is it in mh4?

The turtle. No matter how many times I step on it it never dies. That SOB is amazingly strong!

After that it's actually Giganox. Though I have played MH since before it released in the US I really liked the fight with him and his look. Oh... And the title "God of Death"!

I would rather Narga over that rabbit. That thing's got bad timing when it's the surprise monster in quests! Nearly ruined a Stygian hunt for my brother and me once /mad/ 

The turtle is in area 1 of Misty Peaks.

By misty peaks,do you mean the mountain stream? I haven't checked on mh wiki lately, so I don't know as much as I used to know. I'm happy to have it come to the us since the mountain stream was only in mh3p. But why isnt it in mh4? The mountain stream and the flooded forest are the most beautiful areas in the game. I think mh4 is a experiment for mh games to come.I just hope capcom hears us out for our ideas for mh5.

I definitely don't miss Diablos, and I like Khezu more than the Giggi. I guess it would have been cool to see the Ceanataur back. I do miss those guys...

So far,most of the old monsters haven't been back lately.In tri,there were 3 monsters from the old game while the majority of the monsters were new.I have no problem with new monsters being added,but they should leave the old ones as well.And is it just me,or cant narga and tigrex be in the same game? Recently,narga is in mh3u, while tigrex is in mh4.I love both of these monsters(narga i think is better)but why cant we have then in mh3U AND Mh4 together? tigrex on the big screen or tv would be cool to see,and narga was perfect for mh4.I also think a better story should be in the mh games as well...mh4 is only a steeping stone for the good story,old monsters back,and new monsters mh games to come.

I do agree, it would be nice if they could keep old ones and add in new ones as they go, but, you have to admit, that would be an overwhelming amount of monsters, right..? Maybe it's just me, but that seems like it might be asking for a lot to be crammed into one game... Would be fun, but could they do it?
I think it was my younger brother who said Narga and Tigrex are actually a lot alike, move-wise... Perhaps that's why they choose one or the other if one is to be in a game, if this is true? Then again, though, Barioth and Narga aren't too different (some similarities, some differences), yet they both got in 3U >.>

well theres only so much space on that little game card.
also i think they splitted the return of the old monsters on 3U an 4 because they new they were gonna make two games for the 3ds and they wanted to give us the opportunity to fight as many monsters as possibe. but maybe it's also because they want to make you buy both games if you want all your fav monsters...
as 3U is the G version of tri it is only understandable that they would keep all monsters from tri. and as they could only bring a few from the 2dn gen they had to choose good ones.

i quite like lagombi actually. well all three of the fanged-noob-trio(lagombi, azuros and volvi) they were always fun and a good thing to fight if you wanted to cool down and relax.
no narga is bad as he is one of my favourites too.
still missing the crabs. why have they totally removed crabs?

diablos is an a$%$&le, though i had some good times with them. still find it strange that they aren't in there as they are one of the few standard monsters that were in every game so far but it seams that they aren't popular enough any more

The games are usually set up on monster types and the way they attack and such so if they ivtroduce new monsters they won't have too many older monsters that have similar attacks/styles. Since 3rd gen had a lot of water areas and underwater battles that had to be considered when deciding which monsters to use as well.

One thing to also consider is while for many here in the west we may not have ever battled the "older" mosters that often.. in Japan after 23+ MH games once Tri was introduced the whole new set of monsters was a nice refresh on a new system (the wii). Then P3rd brought in the older monsters and back to the PSP/PS3. 3U Kind of evened it out a bit and made it a more of a casual game and IMO was intended all along for a western release.

Now comes MH4, as DarkFallinRain said, (like 3rd gen tri) it to is a bit of an experiment but a different kind. Tri was to introduce new players to a new system and new play style. and it was succesful.. very much so. 3rd gen paid off very well world wide.

MH4 is changing that more and bringing Monster Hunter more into the current MMO type erra. New gameplay mechanics (ala dragons dogma) and bringing back a lot of favorite monsters that have been on the sidelines for a bit and using them in new ways.

As far as narga and a few others are concerned.. well. It makes a lot of since not to have them in MH4.

While you can still play with classic monsters and new game mechanics on the 3DS online and while your are out on the go with MH4... While at home on the big screen TV in HD you have a new set of monsters that were introduced in 3rd gen and the swimming and the Game Pad with MH3Ultimate on the WiiU.

If you look at it and the way both MH4 and MH3U are set up on both the WiiU(3U) and the 3DS(MH4) anf how both play and are intended to be played that way... They complement each other really well and are great companion games. To have both and play both at the same time wouldn't be to far off of an idea because you would be covering a lot of different aspects of gameplay.

You should read some of the older posts in the tri thread from around when it was released. It has some links and such talking a lot about how it was an "introductory" game of sorts.

I am hoping for mh5, that they would add more monsters to the new categories. Alot of different monster categories were in mh4 and they only added one or two monsters to them. They should add new Chelicerata, Amphibian, and Snake Wyvern monsters.I would like to see my fellow Carapaceons return as well as the underwater battles. I would like to see a different class for the flagship monster,maybe a chelicerata and or a carapaceon. Also,I want a quest with Akantor and Ukanlos to fight at once,but people would hate that.

^ That is more in the realm of MHOL and MHFOL. The PC/MMO versions of MH can afford the more varieties of monstores and fightss you would normally not see in home or handheald games (i use home games losely as Freadom Online is on PS3/WiiU as well now) but in the main series they try to stick to the more traditional hunting style even with MH4 adding in a lot more elements than has been in MH than before.

Overall though with the monsters... I think they will keep the huge amount and variety to the online MMO games.

Well, Shagaru Magara is my new favorite elder dragon, so I don't think I'm too unhappy with any monsters not being in the game as far as elder dragons go.

im not really upset cuz they r bringing back my fav monster which is lagombi though i wish they brought back my second and third fav monsters which r volvidon and azuros
