RELEASE DATE !!!

Tomorrow, Wed., January 14th Nintendo will be holding a Nintendo Direct.. Just announced today.

Nintendo stated that there will likely be several reveals but made no mention of what they could be.

With the New 3Ds just released in limited quantities in Europ for club Nintendo members and Monster Hunter being only 1-2 months away it's likely we will find out the release date of both during this direct.

The direct announcement states:

■Watch a new #NintendoDirectNA on 1/14 at 6 a.m PT w/ Mr. Iwata & crew, with a focus on spring ’15 #3DS & #WiiU games.

EU direct is at 3pm and japam at 11pm, so all should be haapening at the same time.

We'll probably get a release date tomorrow, and either the demo right after, of next week (since MH twitter said we'd get something then)

Where will the Nintendo Direct thing be viewable and what time for Central Standard Time will it be viewable live?

4U Confirmed for Feb. 13th in both EU and US. Both get the special Gunmetal N3dsXL but EU will also be getting the regular size N3DS with special faceplates!

How much is that special NEW 3ds? I WANT IT NAO....

The recomended retail price is $229.99 in US. $30 more than a regular xl.

UPDATE: from what is being said the $229.99 price includes the system with a code to download the full game. So the extra $29.99 is for the game. Which kind of suck for those who preordered the collectors edition.

Which is why this is stupid... with Gamestops absurd shipping and taxes it pretty much becomes ~260( or in other words, for an additional 12 bucks or something you can just get the collectors edition for a physical copy and other goodies along with a less impressive N3dsxl[blegh]). Don't get me wrong, it's nice that the west is getting a LE ds for once, but why couldn't it atleast have been like the MM XL where it doesnt come with the game? Hunters getting a non collectors edition are already getting it for 30 dollars, so it's not like it's even saving the person anything. it's just screwing over the people who'd shell out a ton for special monster hunter junk. (still getting the collectors and giving the game to my bro but jesus christ, not everyone is as shortsighted as me).

Speaking of the CE... a week ago the MH page on Facebook said that CEs are very low on stock, so if you haven't pre-ordered yet, I would check if it's still in stock ASAP.

LOL I'm jealous, I want one so badly but there's no chance in hell of affording it here, at least I'm getting Collectors edition of the game.

Pretty sure it's exclusive to gamestops online shop. If I'm wrong someone let me know so I can cancel it and get it cheaper because screw GameStop for being so expensive.

Yeah the MH one is a gamestop exclusive. Right now preorder are online only but should be added in store soon.

which store did you get it from, all i went to said theyd only get it into the system for preorder in a week or two

Did the online pre-order next day delivery... which means I should be getting mine the 15 of February >_< Meh. I still have my Collectors edition... also on next day ;_; meh, I wont die from not being able to play on day one... Even if I do get to play on day one... I would have to restart when the 3DS comes in, since there doesn't seem to be a data transfer ability yet.

really? iirc they said you can transfere all your data from a 3DS to a New 3DS (not the other way around though)

^ Tom is correct. Nintendo already said you can transfer your game data from one system to the other.. Unles you've already done that 7+ times. I believe 7 is the limit unless they removed that restriction finally.

So you are saying if I play with the collectors edition CARTRIDGE, and then get the new 3DS XL with the built in game, I can still transfer the information?
