| as per title.. how do you unlock more quest in your quest pool..
I only have 9 and is still at 9 quest only until G1..
do I have to do something to unlock more quest to add in the quest Pool?
p.s:- also, what quest haves throwing knives in the collection box, need to do some merging for poison knives and so forth..
p.p.s :- Looking over at Kiranico website, says Meldspar Ore can be found at Guild 9 "All you can hunt remobra" quest.. I don;t get it, is he talking about the gathering hall quests?

| Guild 9 is also known as G2. :-P
As for the quest "pool" I am not sure what you are referring to. Do you mean Guild Quests that you get at the end of every expedition? Or are you referring to the total amount of quests that you get for each difficulty (G1, G2 ect. ) . To increase the expedition received quests you have to do more expeditiona, but to increase the amount of quests you get from the caravan or the Guild Hall/Gathering Hall, you have to do certain unlock quests at each of those levels.
If you can clarify things a bit more, we can help you better.

| Hmm, I think your explanation already gave me the answer..
to your question, yea, quest pool as in the guild quests that you can assign and stuff with the start button menu side..
on side note, how the heck do you get sharpened beak from yian garuga, he kept giving me "rejuvenated beaks" instead..

| Try a high rank Garuga, or something of the like, I believe Rejuvenated Beaks are a G rank drop. | |

| 1. no you can't get deleted GQs back.
2. sharpened beak is the low rank material. you'll get a 80% chance when breaking a LR garugas beak. the only way to fight garuga though is through GQs so i'd suggesst go on LR expeditions (ideally when a garuga is around). Garuga only appears in rare expeditions iirc so you'll have to enter an expedition run through to the goal, end the expedition at the cart to increse you'r chance for rare expeditions. once you'r rarity meter is at max just do other quests to reset the monsters in the expedition untill you find a garuga. other Monsters propably can give garuga GQs too but as i don't know which, garuga himself is your best bet. also collect all shiny drops and also hunt other monsters if any appear (usually there will be 5 monster each expedition unless the hunting ground is stable) to increase your chances of getting guild quests.

| thanks for the info, Tom..
been doing the LR expeditions like mad for the past 1 and a half days and all they keep giving me is kut ku, basarios and velocidrome...
which goes to my next question, is it possible you will keep unlocking the same GQ that gives you the same "loot" in terms of armor and weapons? Because I can see I have more than a dozen velocidrome GQ in my Pool quest..

| Hello again Icowa.
To answer your GQ questions: You will eventually get a repeat... but it will not be exact. Velocidrone x 6 types of weapon bias x 6 types of armor bias x 5 types of armor pieces means that there is a 1 in 180 chance that you will get the exact monster, weapon and armor bias on a quest. The map, however, will most probably be different, as well as where the monster will spawn.
As for getting a Yian garuga, someone already posted a percentage based chart that shows the possibility of a "rare" monster quest to show up at the end of an expedition. Don't quote me on this, but I remember it being around a 25% chance of a yian garuga showing up at the end of a rare kut-kut or yian garuga expedition.
I still have to ask though: Have you unlocked the LR garuga? You have to do the quest called "Remobra Remedy" to unlock the Yian Garuga in Low Rank Expeditions. Its a 5 star village quest.
Once it is unlocked, then you have a chance of getting its quild quest.
Also, the only ways you can get a Yian Garuga quest at the end is to do a "Rare" expedition where you kill a Yian Garuga, Najarala or a Gore magala, or regular quests where you kill a Kut Kut, Gravios, Seltas Queen, Rathian or a Rathalos.
Happy Hunting. | |

| That's how its usually always been. There's either certain large monsters only in Guild, some only in Village. Helps to keep the drive to play both around so that you see the game they designed. | |

| Personally, I feel that you should still be able to unlock all expeditions without doing Guild stuff. For example, once you get to High Rank, you should be able to unlock High Rank Missions, and also do high rank guild quests, instead of needing to get your hunter rank up.
There is currently no way to show off that you have gotten to G rank equipment solo. Even if you did solo everything to get there, you have a guild rank associated with you, so it can be debatable.

| nah, not bothered in showing off to anyone whether I soloed the mission or not.. its a personal thing... like a challenge to myself that I can do it..
besides, I've always done this since MH3U, trying not to break my tradition
but kinda hard now since the grudge matches are literally impossible for me to solo.. mush less S rank. and its giving my personal pride a severe beating..
