| I think Hi-Metal armor is good. It's skill increases wyverns' fire if u can gem it up to gunnery king. | |

| ^ but..but..wyvern fire is kinda noob stat, using a skill jiust to increase that is kinda silly. I'd go for any set with guard +1 if you can get it yet, or evade | |

| lol on the contrary i tried gunlances on my main profile and had 3 of my friends do it too, we took out G narga in like 10-15 minutes, we got it in a shock trap and all used wyvern fire and it just utterly destroyed it | |

| Well, I have a question about Freedom Unite armors with no real weapon specification. I'm wondering what's a good, basic armor for both Blademaster and Gunner that will get me through the game towards monsters with better harvestable materials. Also as a secondary question what weapons do you recommend? Are Long Swords available straight off or do you ahve to do a few quests before it's unlocked? I'm mostly looking at Dual Swords, bowguns and lances as far as weapons go because I don't think I'll be proficient with the other weapons. | |

Go with a long sword evade +2 set, the long swords are way overpowered in that game, so they are your best bet.

So specifically what am I looking at, like what name of some of these armors and weapons? I'm going to be very new to Freedom Unite and lost without a Switch Axe.

A high rank Evasion +2 set that I know of is the Obituroy/Butterfly S (Obituroy being the male version, Butterfly the female one). According to the wiki, the Lobster Armor is the only Low Rank armor which has Evade +2. http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Lobster_Armor_%28Blade%29It can be a pain to get since you need 7 Sm Lobstershells (a semi-rare item from LR Plesioth).

Well, i was thinking of a female character, creatively named Roon, so it'll be the Butterfly armor then?

Yep, and just as well you're making a female character; 80% of male armours look goofy and too bulky/muscular. In other words, female armours > male ones in terms of looks. Just wait 'til you see male Kirin and male Hypnocatrice armour. Probably the two worse armours in the game. Obituroy is also a bit ugly compared to Butterfly.

| Hmmmm...I'm just hoping I can figure out what I'm doing with this game. It seems like it's just so different from the game mechanics of Monster Hunter Tri. | |

Correction, tri's mechanics are so different from MHFU's. MHFU came before tri so you can't base MHFU's mechanics from tri's. You can base tri's off of MHFU's though.

| ^ which when you do you find that tri was dumbed down to the extreme, probably to make it more open to non-MH lovers to gain some buisness and open more reception to MH In areas outside of asia. | |

But keep in mind that Tri fixed the hitboxes. *Shakes fist at Plesioth*
