Armors. How do they work? MHFU

For example.


I have a hermitaur set.

Activate skill:
Def+20
Thrwing skll Up
Thunder res -5

Skill tree:

Defense: +2 +2 +3 +3 = 12
Throw: +2 +1 +3 +2 +2 = 10
ThundRes -2 -2 -2 -3 -3 = -12
Guard up +1 +2 +2 +1 +1
---------------------------------------------

If i swap the Gauntlets with with something else For example a Lobster Guards:

Lobster guards give:

water res: +1
Fishing: +1
Evade: +3
Precision : -2


What would happen to the armor?

What skills will i get?

Will i get the Water res, Fishing, Evade, And - Precision?

Would those two armors combine?

What would happen to the skills?

actually you might lose some of the bonuses cause how the armor skills work. Most all skills need to have a total of 10 points to activate a skill. Sometimes it needs 15(or for higher grade like def up medium) and sometimes 20 for highest grade like def up large.

so all the +1's, +2's, +3's, etc, you see on your individual armor pieces, dont do anything by themselves, nothing at all. However if your other armors, ie, chest, gloves, legs, etc, all add a same skill, if they all add up to equal 10 or more, then you'll get the skill activated.
