3G for the west

So it looks likely we will be seeing 3G in the west.

I made a post in the General MH section.. Go check it oout Kit.. I think it may offer a bit more information.

As far as 3G is concerned.. yea it is upseting when a game we really want does not get released in our area and that is understandable but that is never a reason to GIVE UP..

I'm already giving up...
I mean, Its almost a year since MH3G was released and there is no annoucment or sign of MH in the west.
Maybe it will happen as Tri and it will get released 2 years later... maybe...

^ I was referring to the series in general not a single game.

At Nintendo's conference this morning,

MONSTER HUNTER 3G (ULTIMATE) HAS BEEN CONFIRMED TO BE COMING TO AMERICA, AND GETTING A WII U (HD) VERSION, AS WELL.

EDIT: The Wii U version can play alongside the 3DS in local multiplayer, the HD Version will have online (it looks like the 3DS version will be unchanged), and some form of data transfer is possible between the 3DS and Wii U versions.

The HD release coming to america REALLY caught me off guard....

I expected a western release of the 3DS one, but.... wow..

Ummmm, isn't that a change to the 3DS version? Also the content will be a bit different as the western DLC is usually different than what they have in Japan for the weapons and armor on some things.

Also, there is a WiiU section to talk about the western spacific version (Ultimate).

I think the compatibility is merely a formerly unadressed feature in the Japanese. Since the Japanese 3DS game has the same ability to function with the Wii U version.

I was simply saying "unchanged" referring to "It doesn't look like the American 3DS game will have online".

so wait...Are we getting 3g (+ wiiu version), or a NEW version of tri thats like, compatible with a new version coming up on the wiiu?

Not that im disapointed, this is still fantastic news.

MH3G is apparently already compatible with the Wii U game, according to a Capcom infomercial on Youtube.

So, 3DS wise, we're essentially getting MH3G. Wii U wise, we're essentially getting MH3G HD.

The exact same game, only that one has online and the other is portable
