What are most looking forward to in MH4? Personally mine is being able to use dual swords, I've played with them on MH1 (my cousin owns a copy, he won't let me have it) and I absolutely love them, anyway I'm also looking forward to fighting the Plesioth, I always wanted to

The 3rd armor has an underwater armor look, like maybe to dash underwater. the other look like simple armor, but from other monsters (obviously)

Except we've been told there's no underwater in this game.
But you're kind of right, it not only looks piscine, but it looks like its PURPOSE is to be used underwater.

just a thought, but that armor gives me the feel mabey it's of a wyvern that's kinda like a cross between a plesioth and a hapuru. Like something that looks adapt for water but instead it's swimming around the sand. But i still opt more towards that it looks more suited for water combat.

Now instead of swim in water (like we should) we are going to swim in sand! Yay!

Even though I think I voted for New Monsters, new monsters are a given, so I'm a little more interested in what they do for new Weapons. I'd like to see maybe a new weapon in the gunner category. Maybe a spear, or another sword variation.

Around 1:49, I noticed the hunter climbing up a ledge with his GS drawn! Hot damn.
I'm mostly excited for the seamless terrain, but was this even confirmed officially yet?

Well I certainly hope it's true, since the team talked about encouraging exploration and free roaming in the map.

Even if Gateways still exist, I'm excited to see much more dynamic map design. Fingers still crossed for seamless terrain, though.

Personally I'd rather the maps just have larger segments rather than no loading. While it would be nice, it would make things like monster tracking too easy IMO. I also think it might make the whole "hp is low, RUN!" situation seem a little difficult since you can't simply move to another area.
Definitely hyped for the fluid movement though and while jumping is limited to Zelda-esque uses, it's still damn neat!!

In most hunts I've been on in Tri, tracking wasn't really anything special. Even if nobody had autotracker, most know where the monster starts off anyways since it is preset into several areas. So being able to see it across the map wouldn't be a bad thing really. Heck, it might make binoculars useful! As for the running while low on HP thing, just look for an opening. I'm not sure how many openings monsters in MH4 will give, but they won't change it to be unfair to the player (as much as some quests seem to make it).

In all seriousness, not even an open field will make the binoculars any more useful...

I want to see monsters fight each other or that their description fits them. Sure, deviljho attacks other monsters in the area and the G,jaggi/baggi/furogui too but who hasnt seen the "Diablos are extremly territorial" and they are just walking in circles with the rathian doing the same.
the same thing for minions, suddenly the diablos hits the altaroth and the start following you. I would like to see monsters attacking other monsters
Imagine a great jaggi fighting a velocidrome with all the pack following them

I feel that open maps with no loading screens is how MH should have been since the beggining. It is more dynamic imo than in the other games where tracking was a joke when you know the mechanic of "X monster starts in X area and move randomly to Areas A,B and C and then to D when weak". Now monsters will have their own territory and may even go to other places without it necesairly being an specific place making the hunting more dynamic. I think I may be just speculating it. Oh, and imagine how Gathering Quests will work now

I agree, some sort of "territory" system would be pretty schweet. I'd imagine it would affect what makes monsters attack you too, if there really are open-world environments. They'd have to do something to let you escape. Otherwise you'd have a Tigrex, Rhenoplos and unkown-black-sillhouette-teaser-monster chasing you non-stop.

But more minion for me to laka-lead to battle, now thats a good Idea Cha-Chompadré. We show Cha-Chump monster who boss with the old Shaka-Laka-Bing-Bang & the Boom-Cha-Cha-Laka!"
XD well, theres my nerd out for today. But yeah, I'd like to see the shaka-lakas make an appearence. Doubt we'll see cha-cha since this' a new region but mabey a cameo would be nice

I really wanna try out all the weapon classes, as Tri is the only game I've got.
And there's a shed load of new & returning monsters, so I can finally tango with the likes of Kush & Rajang. :mast:

Not sure if it has already been mentioned but there is now a NPC similar to the combiner to generate certain Talismans..dunno much about it yet 'cause I've only seen it in stream. Still a pretty nice feature.
