| I've been playing mh3 for sort of awhile and now i'm buying unite. I wanted to know if there's something like divinewhim except for unite so i can make armor sets a lot easier and not feel as lost as i am right now reading the unite topics. also i will probably be using lance, hammer, and greatsword because those are what i am familiar with. could you guys please recommend some useful weapons and armors to get. that would be very helpful, thanks | |

| Divine whim exists in mhfu. Idk armors that have it though, only managed to find its existence after some googling. I can't provide much help for early game (its been so long D:), but once you can fight ceanataurs, i suggest using those weapons. The sharpness is awesome, and the armor skills are awesome. I used the ceanataur armor set from the moment i got it, to high rank (after which i got the s version :P) and I'm still using it to this day, one battle away from G rank! obviously some monsters require other skills though, i suggest getting blango armor for future shen gaoren battles. As for weapons, this will help you a lot with weapons: http://www.reign-of-the-rathalos.com/mhp2g-mhfu/wc_mhfu/A guide to use it: 1. choose the monster from the dropdown list 2: choose your hr from the dropdown list (very different from stars! remember that hr 1-3 is pink lady, hr 4-6 is green, and hr 7-9 is the yellow lady. The elder woman is roughly hr 1-3, and her cat is hr 4-6) 3: pick your weapon type 4: pick your armor skills (make sure to be accurate, it definitely affects the outcome) 5: click show me the list to see the list of weapons 6: the percents on the side are related to how good they are against the monster. 100% being the best possible weapon at your current rank. 7: strive for one of the top 5. Googling the weapon (works best with "mhfu weaponname", which should take you to the mh wiki page for the weapon | |

| That doesn't exist as far as i know, but theres something close. It works kind of backwards though, whereas you put the skills you want and other info (rank etc...) and it spits out a number of set combos. Might be more useful. It's also a program, so no super long loading time haha. It's called athena's armor set search (yes, Athena's A.S.S. /scar/ ). You can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?gt356x2847nbd49The process is almost the same as the weapon calculator i showed you :P the two might not work together though, as some sets might require your weapon to have a certain number of gemming slots and that might not work with the top weapons according to the calculator. idk for sure though, the armor set thing might rely only on armor slots. | |

| anything that can be done online can be done offline, except playing with other people of course :P
also, playing mhf or especially mhf2 is a bad idea
mhfu has every monster from mhf with more, as well as being an expansion to mhf2. Roughly the only differences between mhf2 and mhfu is the new g rank and the cat elder, which won't affect your learning experience because by that time you should know plenty. | |

| http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=predownload&dl=/rar/wrar401.exescroll to the bottom and click the blue download now button, then just ignore everything on the next screen until it begins downloading. Then just install and you're done! After its installed, you don;t even need to open it :P just find the athena's a.s.s. file, right click and cllick extract then ok on the screen that pops up. there will be a new folder with the program etc... | |
