First off, here's my favourite Greatsword set:
http://divinewh.im/s/1.1k_18.1t_1l_1U.1t_1g_11_10.n.N.zSharpness + 1, Focus, Critical Draw and Earplugs. Hard to beat.
Anyway, I've taken the liberty of writing up this MASSIVE post to brutally criticise every set posted here so... yeah :3. Note that I'm judging them on how effective they are, not how nice they look or how fun they are to use. Just my way of contributing I suppose!

Not that good. Critical Eye isn't too good for blades, especially for endgame ones. The attack-related skills for endgame blademasters should be mainly Sharpness + 1, Attack Up X and Critical Draw for Greatswords. 4/10

Very nice. Status Attack Up isn't very effective for Blademasters but I personally use Status Attack Up anyway since it does help a little so I'm tempted to make this set!
Mind's Eye feels a little extra though; the only two blademaster status weapons which are worth actually using are the Paralysis Longsword and Sword and Shield. Longsword doesn't really need Mind's Eye for starters and Sword and Shield might need it but the fact that there's Razor Sharp is already good enough. 8/10

Cool concept but not very effective in reality. Of course the evasion skills are nice but the added skills are bad. Mud/Snow issues can be resolved with a Cleanser and Sneak is absolute crap. 3/10.

Ken's Lancing Set
Awesome. Great to get the most out of the lance. Only recommended for people who are a bit more experienced with the lance though (unlike me) since Evasion + 1 without Evasion Distance is tough. Also, shame about that Detect; Detect is pretty useless if it's not Autotracker. 9/10

Simples, no? [Offline GS Set]
Love it. Simple but effective. Probably the best all-around Greatsword set you can get in offline. 10/10

- So Hammers and SAs look for Earplugs with their high DPS skills, Lances look for evasion or guard, but are you still unsure of what to include on a LS set? Here's an idea...
Just a possibility
Not bad, and with a better Attack talisman that could even become Attack Up (L). Focus isn't brilliant for Longsword though since the Spirit Combo doesn't take long to recharge regardless. Also, it's a shame that there's no Sharpness + 1. The most effective set for the Longsword is probably the Vangis set. 7/10

- I used a set like this for my first ala run, except that set had to choose between AuL and crit 2, or AuM and crit 3.
http://divinewh.im/s/2.1A.1A_1S.u_d.1A_a_e_d.M_19.Q.s
Not brilliant. Again, as I said above, Critical Eye with Attack Up is generally overkill. For HR 40+ blades especially, you should stick to Attack Up, and Critical Eye for Bowgun. Still, for a pre-Alatreon set it isn't terrible. 6/10

- My Crit Draw set for jhen
http://divinewh.im/s/1.H_1f.u_1l_1e_m_1e.u_1A.n.1l
HG Earplugs over there is pretty useless since Jhen doesn't roar that much and when he does, you probably won't be able to benefit with the roar since he's either too far away or in a position where you can't attack him. Again, Vangis with Critical Draw trumps this set for the Jhen. It's a shame that Vangis trumps a lot of sets but that's the truth
. 5/10

Hey that's not too bad! Great for general use. It needs the Evasion god talisman though, and that's super rare. 8/10

Load up, Pierce S Boost, Evade+1, Combo Pro
http://divinewh.im/s/2.Z.Z_1v_1a_1k.a_1b.a_-2.1R_p.1B.1S
(My replacement for blos armor)
You can also change it to element attack up instead of pierce boost if wanted.
Good if you don't want to get Diablos armour but Diablos armour clearly beats it. First off, the arms don't need to be Chakra bracelet. Chakra armour should be used just for the lulz or to challenge yourself because there's always a better armour piece than them. Secondly, with a good Diablos set you can get Pierce S Boost, Pierce S Lv1 Up (which is just as good as Load Up since all you should be using is Pierce is Lv1 anyway), Critical Eye + 2/3 and some good C skills like Combination Pro and Trap Master. That set doesn't offer as much space. 4/10

(No Agnaktor or Barioth armor parts needed)
Guard + 1 is bad. Either get Guard + 2 or nothing. Also Guard and Evasion for lance is generally overkill. Defence is unimpressive too. Other than that, quite good! 6/10

http://divinewh.im/s/1.21_1l.22_1Z_1i_1g_1m_o.1F.j.1i
Why Awaken though? Awaken is never worth it. It's a 15-point A skill and the awakened weapons usually have a non-awakened counterpart which is better. Also, the weapon seems to need two slots for Evasion Up. That said, probably one of the better sets you can use if you're adamant on using Awaken. 6/10
Phew. Hope this helped.
