I HATE the Opulent Hunter. Who else?

First topic message reminder :

Everytime youre finished getting your equipment, and all your pals are waiting to take off on a quest, you get clotheslined by this chatty ole gal who wants nothing more but to talk you to death and get in your way. To avoid her you have to go all the way down to where the barrel is to make it into the tavern without pause. How annoying is this and why does capcom troll us so hard?!

-On topic-
I have a few times when I started Tri get caught in the forgery because I used to mash the a button.
But since then I learned that on the wiimote the directional pad at the top of it can change what you will select when you press it left or right. So even if the Opulent Hunter is there in the doorway and she is the first selection, just press the pad left or right and you can get passed her easily.

Ignoring those buffoons, Violet: when theres two feet between your hunter and the doorway, and you're running towards the doorway, it does take an extra half second to hit left or right to select the door, and tht tiny inconvenience builds up over the length of time that i have been playing, and is tra nsformed and metamorphisized into an intense hatred for that character. I mean, has she ever been on a hunt ? No.

I understand that for someone who is in a rush, she can be irritating, or utterly infuriating if you are a button masher and in a rush and you want to go out on a hunt. But sadly she will always follow the same path from door to door. Say your friend only has 5 mins until he/she has to log off and you mash the a button in the doorway while she is there, you will be trapped there as she cannot move from that same spot from being constantly selected to remind you about the slain Alatreon or your armor as time slips away.
I can imagine some people would want to toss their controller at this NPC because she is placed in probably one of the most inconvenient places.
We can continue to rant about it and say how annoying this NPC is, but that wont change the fact she is there to stay. So ultimately it comes down to mashing B if you get caught out, taking the other exit, waiting for her to pass or using that half second to select the doorway instead.

Well i guess that brings this thread to a close.

OHOHOOOOOH! I think I know how I'm gonna do this! If there is a player section and a monster section, then there must be an NPC section. And if there's an NPC section, there must be coordinates in it. Maybe ID. And a bunch of attributes that I don't give a F about. Just set her coordinates to some unusual place. She'll be walking in place upside down in a wall if I can do that. YES!!

Well there goes my plans for tonight(nothing special. Just sleep).

have her walk up the stairs & into that balloon-thingy-flying-thingy that just sits there. then when we're at the gate an see it fly overhead, we all can give a sigh of relief knowing she was on it and possible about to fly over ala's tuff & be shot down!

I couldn't find anything that would make her upside down. But I did freeze her coordinates and facing. I put her here:

I couldn't just stick her behind some wall because I was having too much fun with her dimensions and in the end I felt bad just sticking her in a wall. No. I didn't put her in a wall because the idea of not being able to do something hurts me. So naturally, I can't make her inaccessible. If somebody happens to want to talk to her for whatever reason, it's not gonna be my fault that they can't. But I was having fun with her.

and I was curious about if you could get her out of the Forgery completely, kinda like that cha-cha one with the furnishing outside the house ( i guess ) putting her in the blimp-thing was just the 1st area that came to mind since nothings up there.

She's so damn annoying. Everytime I go to the workshop or w/e it's called to get my weapon changed or upgraded, and I press A to go to the tavern, she's in my face. There isn't a single time that she hasn't been RIGHT THERE on the stairs when I want to go out.

lool ok so last night I'm online, in the armory checking gun stats. & for some reason the camera follows her as she walks by until she goes offscreen

Oh my god I hate her so much if only I could place barrel bombs L+ there and shoot her with wyvern fire till she flies out to the the blacksmith's furnace ... I also hate the cola dude ..they should get married their son will the no. 1 douch in the world
