what armor/skills is good with bow users?

like what skills are good and so on. am a noob to bowgun and bows side of things

Honestly it all depends heavily on what monster you're fighting..

Generally there are good all around armor sets for gunners at low rank - high rank like

Rathalos Soul U :: High Grade Earplugs, Reckless Abandon +1 (can be gemmed to +3)
Silver Sol is also nice with PierceS up and attack up (can be gemmed for some other skill too)
Monodevil both for low rank and high rank.

But depending on the monster you're fighting and your objective then it all depends, usually the armors are custom. like the one I'm using against rajang.
Conga S, Hypno S, Ioprey S, Conga S, Ioprey S or something along those lines.

I'll make some suggestions for use at all ranks, so you can refer to this post at a later time as well. I play mainly offensively, so most of my sets reflect this.

Low Rank:
A set I've heard of it Battle Cap/Hunter Body/Battle Guards/Hunter Waist/Battle Leggings with 4 attack jewels. This gives you attack up small, rapid S up, and detect.
Kut-Ku makes a good starting armor, since you can get a nice attack boost an enough defense to last you until you can make a proper armor.
Next armor you'll want is Kushala. It can be a pain to get, but my gosh is it worth it. Focus is a fantastic skill for archers, since it almost halves the time taken to fully charge your arrows.

High Rank:
Kut-Ku U is an awesome armor here, since it gives element attack up which can help deal extra damage, as well as Reckless Abandon and a stunning eleven slots.
Again, Kushala makes a fantastic armor, because focus is still an amazing skill for an archer to use. That and since its an elder dragon armor, it has very good defense, which is useful since archers are rather squishy.

G Rank:
This is where archer armor gets pretty incredible. Rathalos X with the Blango Z Blademaster Helm and correct gemming gives Attack Up Large, Element attack up, and Rapid S Up. I think this set's pretty self-explanitory :p
You can also get a nice set using full Silver Sol Z with the Diablo X leggings. WIth correct gemming this gives Attack up Large, Focus, and Pierce S up

In summary:
Low Rank: Battle/Hunter, Kut-Ku D, Kushala.
High Rank: Kut Ku U, Kushala, Silver Rathalos (if you use pierce bows)
G Rank: Blango/Rathalos for Rapid, Silver Sol/Diablos for Pierce.

Focus- make you charge faster
Load up- extra charge level
Evade+1/2 - dodge more

For low rank, battle gives precision so that's nice if you're doing a monster that has a weakness on the head (e.g Rathian, Plesioth (he's weaker on the neck, but you'd still need precision)).

Just note though, you only get one slot from the armor itself so you have to gem in precision with 4 jewels, so you only JUST have enough slots to do so.
