| It looks like they stream lined a lot of the skills into 'obviously you want these two skills' skills.
I like it how KO damage now has lots of bonuses. This is great because status effect weapons are better when a monster loses it's stamina. Now I could seriously see the flower hammer being decent!
Water God - CurrentRes (Hi), Olympic Swimmer and Oxygen Unlimited (Wow under water battles will not be such a headache!)
Honey Hunter - Chance of getting two honeys! Charm Hunter - Chance of getting two charms!
Charms have been really hard to get, I love this skill.
Full Charge - Attack bonus when heath is full.
Yes! No more nervous adrenaline use!
Challenger +2 - When staying at the same area as raged big monsters, add Attack Up (L) and Critical Eye + 2
Counter rage mode! I can see myself using this.

| The only problem I have with Edgemaster (it's also called Stellar Hunter in this game, btw) is that it's only available on Gran Miraos's armor. You can't even mix it in, because it requires the entire armor set, and it doesn't come in talismans or decorations. But oh well, I guess that just makes his armor all the more special. | |

| Yeah, the skills that combine multiple skills are going to be really nice.
and Aoshira G armour looks like a better gathering armour then leather. Hmm...

| Do you mean the Aoashira X armor set? Yeah it's got those two new skills on it (sort of)
With a full set you get
- Gourmand - Speed Gather - Honey Hunter - 6 skill points towards Charm Hunter - 6 skill points towards Whim
But it has two slots on the chest AND Torso Up. So just put a +2 Charm and +2 Whim in there and BAM 5 skills with a 2, 1 and 3 slot left over! Then you just fill in the rest of the slots with Gather and you get +1 Gather then find 2 slots to spare with a weapon or tali and you get +2 Gather! Now lets assume you find a talisman with +5 to Whim (Soooo rare right? Ha)
Final armor set:
- Gourmand (More stamina from recovery items) - Speed Gather (It takes 0.5 seconds to gather instead of 1.5) - Honey Hunter (Chance of getting x2 honey with each gather) - Charm Hunter (Chance of getting x2 charms with each gather) - Divine Whim (Highly unlikely for a pickaxe or bugnet to break) - Gather +2 (Increases total gathering amount, usual ~3 gathers to a possible ~7)
Quite possibly the highest possible end game for gathering. Those rocks/bugs don't stand a chance!!
Yep! Totally getting this armor set the second I hit G Rank.

| Another awesome G-Rank armor set is Nargacuga X: It comes up with Evasion +2 and Evasion Up, as well as Sneak and Short Sprinter. What makes it even more amazing, however, is that it a whopping 7 slots to fill! Therefore, you can gem five of those in with Dive Dist Up, use one more to cancel out Short Sprinter, and still have one free slot, freeing you to use any charm you want. With Evasion +2, Evasion Up, Dive Dist Up, and Sneak (and whatever skill you get from your charm!), you'd be untouchable! I'd recommend using that setup with dual swords, to benefit from the extra maneuverability and wind res. | |

| Evade Distance is silly to me unless you're using a switch axe (hops) or bowgun (positioning) .
Sword and shield is almost unplayable with Evade Distance. You try to chain your attacks with dodges and suddenly your on the other side of the map. Not cool.

| Embolden with dat antisynergy. Adrenaline+2, and another skill that doesn't kick in when you're using adrenaline :P
Edge master/stellar hunter doesn't seem imba. It's only on a set with CE-2 and no other useful skills. It's not better than full vangis in tri, for example.

Just drink a dash juice and you never even have to put your lance away! Just hop all over the place. And yeah anduin, Bari+ was my most used set in tri, so I'm definitely getting Narga X since it's the new Bari pretty much.

| Is there a page somewheres that actually explains what Sharp +1 or Evade +2 actually does? Statistically? Quite a few skills actually left me scratching my head, even when I'm sitting there playing MH/PS2 with my BradyGames strategy guide right there next to me, with skills that seriously don't appear to be doing anything at all.
(God's Capriciousness for example) /no/

| Evade +1 and +2 give your dodges more effectiveness, you're basically invincible with +2 during a dodge which lets you do some more intense stuff like dodge through roars or dodge through a monster's stampede attack. Don't confuse it with Evade Distance because that skill only chances the distance you travel when dodging, not how long you are invincible for. Sharpness +1 adds sharpness to your weapon, for some weapons it can even give you a sharper color (A normal green blade becomes blue!) - Red (Lowest) x0.4- Orange x0.6- Yellow x0.8- Green x1.0 (Or 100%) - Blue x1.2- White x1.4- Purple (Highest) x1.6How sharp your weapon is determines your base attack damage. (The values I applied are only approximations) So say your hammer has 100 damage and no element Blue sharpness = x1.2 So when you hit a monster you do 100 x 1.2 = 120, that's 20 extra damage! Want to know more?: - Spoiler:
Of course there are many calculations to your damage that can stack up. For example:
- Eat a might pill + x1.2 - Have blue sharpness + x1.2 - Have Attack Up (M) x1.15
So that's
100 + (x1.2) + (x1.2) + (x1.15)
100 + 20 + 20 + 15 = 155!! You're doing 55 extra damage! That's like 150% of the damage you'd normally do.
Then there's even more calculations you could do
- What type of hit (A normal one? And unsheathed one? A charged one?) - Where did you hit? (In the head? Leg? Tail?) - Do you have affinity? - Elemental damage (Even MORE calculations!!)
Basically you just want to eat a good attack+ meal before you head out with a sharp weapon and hit the weakest section of a monster.

Evade Dist makes switch axe so much better, imo. Probably the most useful switch axe skill. I hated how you were forced to wear Barioth+ to get it, though. Glad MH3U added some new armor sets with the skill.

| I know how sharpness works, it was the hard data that I was looking for (on a webpage or whatever) that showed the actual statistical data of what these armor 'skills' are doing. | |

Glad MH3U added some new armor sets with the skill. Heck, Evade Dist makes the Switch Axe. Playing without it feels like such a handicap. I also haven't had any experience with G rank monsters. From what I've read it's somewhere between "really difficult" to "the monster is cheating!!" I've had a bit of trouble understanding the end G Rank quests. Am I to believe you have to hunt 4 monsters in the Tundra in a row? Gosh, stack those hot drinks and well done steaks.
