Wtf? How do I even HARM Basarios? O.o

Got past Blangonga and I see this quest called "Basarios: Unseen Peril".

My reaction: That looks fun... 8)

I enter the quest.

I start to think there'd be a cutscene or SOMETHING, so I look in EVERY area of the volcano, no sign of him. I kick this random rock and this giant rock dragon bursts out of NOWHERE and I'm like :shock: WHAT THE FU--

So I leg it out of his range and he charges, I swiftly dodge out the way. I go to strike him and my weapon bounces off. I'm like "Wtf, these are green sharpness DS". I thought I just hit him in a hard spot so I continued to attack and attack and attack but NOTHING.

HOW DO I HARM THIS GUY!?!??

I'm assuming you need a hammer, which I don't have a lot of practice with *groan*

So, APART from a hammer, how do I harm him with green sharpness weapons???

Use bows or bowguns. Should be a pushover.
Better explanation
If you insist on going blademaster, use Ceanataur armour and dual blades. I suggest the Raven Tessen. Spam the Demonic Dance on Basarios.
Incidentally, his weakpoint is the chest.

What's his elemental weakness? Because there's a ton of elemental bows I can make right now.

Dragon. Water as secondary I think.

Water then dragon pierce bow shots are highly recomended

seriously though trap bombing is good...have yet to fight him in my new file...

my first basarios i just used full blango armor and kut ku bow 1 or 2 i dont remember and i bombed the hell out of it.

WOW! He is a PUSH-OVER with a bow.

Defeated him with full Kut-Ku D gunner set and Daimyo Bow I (Can't remember the actual name).
