What's Mr.Monoblos's elemental weakness?

Title says it all.

Thunder.

I think there should be a section for monster help, only because this is your fifth thread asking about a monster in two days. :P

Blame the wiki for not providing me the info I need.

I'm not putting the blame on anyone. I just think the forum would look neater if there was a generel monster help/FAQ. Lots of threads are getting moved down because you seem to be needing help with every second monster, so if all those questions could be entered in one thread, it would reflect better on this section of the forum.

Also as a side note, the wiki does tell you his weakness. Under his picture in the bar to the right of the page it says "Weakest to:"

yea just use a weapon with thunder element. i used wailing cleaver and i just obliterated a regular high rank monoblos in like 5 minutes. (2 minutes trying to find it)

Would full Kut-Ku D gunner armour (which I used for Basarios) with Sonic Bow I and a bunch of coatings work?

The usual strategy for bows I use is:

Paralize the monster.

Use close rnge coatings while monster is paralized, continue to fire them until run out.

Use power coatings until run out.

The Sonic Bow I cannot use sleep or poison, but if I have a bow that can, I use poison then sleep then power.

Usually by now, if I've been hitting the monster in the right places, it's usually dead. If not, I fire plain arrows until it dies.

I don't know coating combos so... yeah.

That should work but just in case you should take lots of bombs, large barrels and gunpowder. (that makes large barrel bombs)

Here's a nice list of coating combos.

Empty Bottle: Whetstone + Bone Husk S (not a coating, but necessary)
Power Coating: Bottle + Nitroshroom (85% chance)
Close Range Coating: Bottle + Knife Mackerel (85% chance)
Poison Coating: Bottle + Toadstool (90% chance)
Paralysis Coating: Bottle + Parashroom (85% chance)
Sleep Coating: Bottle + Sleep Herb (90% chance)
Paint Coating: Bottle + Paintberry (90% chance)

They all give 1 or 2 coatings. Use Bullet Limit for maximum coatings (Shot Mix skill, Armory Jewel).
