Good all-around armour for 7/8* Nekoht/High rank?

Throughout village chief and low rank I used Ceanataur armour as my main armour, until Ceanataur S/U is avaible, what is a good main armour? Or will I be alright with low rank Ceanataur?

If you really like cenataur just wait till you can do his armor. I got to narga with low rank armor lol

well, what i did was use a random mish mash of armor, hypnoc helm, blango mail, death stench heel, monoblos coil, and rathalos vambraces, and that worked out fine. then i smartened up and got full tiggy armor as my trapping set, then full rathalos for my reg set. Ceanatour armor is not that usefull at high rank, cause it has less defence than most others by the time you can make it.

I think ceanataur is just fine for HR. you can easyly use low ranked ceanataur till you are able to make HR-Caenataur. I'm a quite averrage player and was completely fine with my ceanataur armors. also I liked the skills (I was GS only user at that time) of course there are better armors but ceanataur is still quite good.

I love all versions of Ceanataur armour. Can't reccomend them enough.
Ceanataur S is seriously a great choice, even for Akantor, personally. You'd only have to gem out the defense reduction (which barely requires slots) and even then you'll have space for another skill. The AuS is a nice touch.

I asked some friends and they recommended Rathalos S a LOT, which is understandable because it was mainstream armour in Tri, problem is I need to HR 5 for that... and I'm only HR 4 (and stuck on Khezu+ for Nekoht).

Thoughts?

Rathalos S IS a good choice, although you require 2 rathalos rubies for a full set. skills dont really matter too much yet (at least they didnt for me) so i would suggest just grind for the armor that has the most defense right now.
