How the **** does monster hunter have crude humor?
Also, the box art is crap. The Japanese version is much better, yet be get this stupid buffoon posing near a monster which didn't début in 3U.
What's even more irritating is that the logo for the game has a part of the barichidos, yet this cover has a azure rathalos. /no/

Basicaally the Box art is to be more appealing to the western market and to match the system colors a bit better.
Part of the reasonings behind it as I can understand it for the box art is that in japan MH is already popular.. Whatever they put on the covers does not really matter, in the west however they need something a bit more eye catching and flashy.. The brighter colors and .. well Dragon verses unknown monster do that:
example:
Japan box art:
Western Box art:
Though some may like the Japan box art better (Fans of the series which will buy the game regardless), new comers will be more drawn to the brighter more flashy box art that matches better to the system. This is a great marketting move on Nintendo's part. And will likely draw more people who have not played MH into playing it.

That Azure Los sword was an excellent choice as well, it looks badass enough to appeal to just about anyone who likes badass things.

Exactly, as dcj put it, a genius move by Capcom/Nintendo (whoever designed it) That would definitely catch my eye over the dark Japanese one if I was just browsing.

A bit late in the day, so it's hard to replicate my initial feelings, but still... I woke up to this. I haven't been this excited since I woke up on September 13th. Plus the fact that the demo will come out ON MY BIRTHDAY makes me extra happy.
I've also started going around, telling everyone on my facebook about this game. I've been surprised to know that I already have more monster hunter fans on my friends list than I initially thought! Hopefully we'll be able to get some more people interested come March!
And the box art... At first, I was meh over it. But I will admit, the changes for the west version are better and make sense in a marketing standpoint, and it is starting to grow on me...

But the ESRB never rates the on-line content of the game. IT even says it on the game's box art for every on-line game!

If I had to guess, it'd be because of what some of the citizens of Moga Village tend to spout. Some of the stuff they say can have multiple entendre.

I've started going through all the old Ironbeard ads. God, these were the best tv ads for a wii game, bar none. Maybe even the best ads for any game...

I'm a little disappointed in the release date. Primarily because I knew exactly what end of the month it would fall on. My initial expectation was the last week of March, commencing the 25th, and since I'm British, that means I might as well have been correct, since it comes out the tail-end of the week before. But that's CAPCOM for you; they like to disappoint their fans.
@anduin55: Hah... that's just what you'd expect from CAPCOM. They might be balancing on the fine line of being the worst gaming company in the world, but at least they know how to make their games fun and humorous.

probably still upset about portable 3rd or something. whilst capcom has done some things (On disc DLC) that even I don't like at all, they still produce pretty good/great games.... Regardless of the "new directions" they take on some of them. XD

Nope. I actually have MHP3rd, much to my chagrin. (don't get me wrong, its fun... but when you have to import something to play it, especially something fans had been clamouring for since long before the HD version was announced, it leaves a sour taste in your mouth)
tl;dr version of my first post; I don't like how late its releasing. But whatever, at least we're finally getting some Monster Hunter action.
I'm not sure why everyone is having problems understanding what I'm talking about, when I was talking about my disappointment in CAPCOM that this game (meaning MH3U) didn't come out sooner, considering they've been twiddling their thumbs and swinging around on the ceiling at CAPCOM HQ all of last year when even considering a Western release of their games. (in this particular scenario, MH3U) I'd predicted elsewhere (that is, predicted that MH3U would release on my Twitter) that it would get a release date of between the 25th-31st March, which in Europe, it very nearly had.
But I'll still enjoy the game. As much as I despise CAPCOM and complain about the crappy decisions they make (on-disk DLC being another one), I can't deny that they're holding onto one of my favourite franchises right now (Monster Hunter, if you need it pointing out), and made a solid game in Dragon's Dogma last year. Even if they did release the over-hyped flop that was Resi 6.
