There are two methods of purchasing Ultimate
- Normal physical disc
- Digital download
Now from the digital version you can store the download in one of two places
- Internal memory
- External memory (USB storage)
There is however a difference in the loading speed for the games, at first you might say "Yeah? Who's gonna notice anyway?"
Well for starters Monster Hunter has many loading screen between each area. Typically on a map moving from area to area can take up to 3 seconds. A japanese site has already begun discussing load speeds for each version as
found here. - Quote :
- Version / DL disc version harbor village about 5 seconds → (bar) / about 4.5 seconds (bar) 7 seconds / 5 seconds → harbor village about (Night) → forest village about 8 seconds / 6 seconds village → (night) forest about 7 seconds / 6 seconds for about 2 seconds → My house / village about 2 seconds about 4 seconds village My House → / 2 seconds for about 2 seconds farm → / village about 1.5 seconds may be faster place second 1-2.

Ditto) around ■ loading comfortably load fine hunter or blacksmith is gone flat load times when moving map is 1-2 seconds faster. Also, the time it takes to change area is almost halved

- Do I become quite fast load
A
rough (and amusing) Google translation reveals an important note among other things
Digital downloads stored and played on the internal memory perform faster, up to x3 the loading speed of both USB and disc play. It's also important to not that the WiiU Basic model will not be able to download and run Monster Hunter Ultimate from internal memory
as stated by Capcom. Will this affect your purchase? Will this hinder some online players? If you've played for 500 hours how much of that was waiting at a load screen?
