What Differences Have You Noticed?

First topic message reminder :

After playing through until I am about to Ceadeus, I have noticed that pretty much all the armors got different skill sets, you cannot support your farm from the fishing boats, and low rank monsters seem a lot easier than in tri. People say it is the same game, but enough is different to really keep things interesting.

As a poverty-stricken bowgunner, I'm really considering starting a community-driven advice thread. What bowguns to use, what ammo, how to get the resources and funds to support my habbits. It would only work if experts were willing to chime in, cuz I got little experience. Any thoughts from the community?

Also no cool rooms on the online play like mhtri where you could have different rooms depending on your rank i just loved that, also no pig on the online part of the game so that discards the fact that the pig gives you luck after you snuggle it?

I personally think online was an upgrade in every way compared to tri, there is nothing I miss, loc lac can burn.

Poogie snuggling was a fact, it just worked differently in different MH games. In Tri it slightly increased the % of possible rare(er) items but only in row 1.

If you search on the forum there is a whole chart and thread that explains it and has talk from capcom japan from years back...


In MH3U, no clue how it works or if. Unlike tri no one has hooked a WiiU/3DS up to a computer and tested all the code as far as I know of.
