Where can I find Monster Bone L's?

For my Plume Flint, I have:

The three Qurupeco feathers
The Flintstone (it took me forever!)

and

Two Monster Bone L's (have not found yet.)

I have access to the Deserted Isle / Moga Woods, the Sandy Plains, and the Flooded Forest.

second of all, you might get monster bones L for fighting large monsters such as niblesnarf, uragan, every big monster, I dont think they spawn at gathering spots

Second,I think Barroth is the first monster you get it from

Nibelsnarf actually gives Medium Bones.

Rathian or Barroth are the first you will get them from. Really up to you which you want to fight though.

Capture Barroth or Rathian. It's possible to get it from carves, but capturing has a much higher chance.

Unless they've changed this from Vanilla, I don't ever recall having carved a Large Bone from anything.

It's true, I can't get Monster Bone L from the Barroth either. I only get Monster Bone M and S. Not sure why, I think Barroth is not capable of giving Monster Bone L.

According to the wiki, it's a 20% chance to carve and 46% chance on a capture. I've gotten them from Barroth, Rathian, Niblesnarf, and I think I got one from a Gobul.

It's possible the random number generator is just screwing with you. I killed 5 gigginox (by far my least favorite creature to fight) last night, and got exactly 0 uncanny hides.

Kill or cap the Barroth in the Guild quests, not the Village.
