Rathian Plate, MH3U wiiU

How the hell do you get it, i've killed rathian like 25 times and have yet to get a plate. broke his wings and head, cut off his tail, but still nothing.

And so it begins...
Just keep trying, it has like a 5% chance of happening.

yes, try hunting high rank rathian i believe it has better %

the best way of getting it is not needing it.

Generally you need to satisfy as many conditions as possible to maximize chance of droppoing a plate (but honestly, even when you satisfy multiple plate opportunities, the cumulative chance of getting a plate is still pretty low.)

1. Get the head break (tail cuts and shinys dropped while eatting also have small chances of being plates.)
2. Capture, as opposed to killing
3. Plates are sommetimes quest rewards. I'm not concrete on this, but I've had more luck getting plates in HR quests and multi-hunt quests (such as "Desert Warfare".)
4. Don't get put on tilt by not being able to find plates- Everyone has had the same experience.

And remember to pick up every shiny she drops. And always bring both Cha-Cha and Kayamba with you. They have a chance of carving tails as well, and Kayamba has brought me to Rathalos plates already.

I remember in tri when I need a DDG for barbarian sharq upgrade and didn't get any after like 10 runs.

Then, I checked with chacha and he had 2 XD

ive just got rid of this curse and plunged into a good luck sea
but then the desire sensor returns in ultimate isnt it just fking great

i've been lucky with drops since i've started. what i go for is breaks. i dont wory about speed depending on what im farming for. For raths, i always go for the tail first, wings, then head breaks, like above pick up any shinys dropped.

I got plate in box rewards after 2nd rathian in village. I cut his tail. Got lucky this time. In Tri getting plate was painfull.

Knowing how hard they are to get on LR hunts, I was extremely surprised when I had a Plate in my reward box after my very 1st Ian hunt. (3DS) It took me like 40+ Ian to get one with MH3. Remember to cut the tail, break the head, and cap her for the best odds. There still low, but every percent helps..

I got a rathian ruby on my first high rank rathian.
However, I'm planning on making Rathalos Soul, which needs two rathalos rubies...

What skills does Jhen+ give?

This is why i just don't care about armors and upgrading them much, thats why i have diferents kinds of armors, sure i have some stuff i need but i just go around the quest and one of the stuff i need is bound to pop out, but i try not to focus on just the one armor, or the one weapon, my character is really fugly but right now since im taking my time with the game (also waiting for the wii u to play with my wife), i just go from mission to mission i just got Atack L on me and im fine with it.
In the long run i will be getting everything but also having like "omg i wont go to high rank until i get this and this and this" meeeeh im finding more challenge on just keep going and do the stuff i can and upgrade with the stuff i have.
That way the desire sensor does not know wath to do becouse i just don't care about wath i get.

Also i try to focus on doing stuff that don't need stuff so rare. And yea the sensor does not know wath to do becouse i got a Deep dragon game in my first cedeaus (the one after the story one).

And i was like meeeeh who cares hahahahaha.

I have the same problem; though I use hammers to break her face.

Personally, I believe a Capcom employee should do these two things:

1) Explain why it is so hard to get a Rathian Plate

and

2) Apologize publicly to every last Monster Hunter player.

apologize for making us play the game more? why?

There is a certain % of chance for you to get a plate, what do you want an employee to say?

"err... your luck sucks and I am sorry? maybe?"

The point of the game is grinding. without the grind, what is there left?
