| Getting a console for any one game is generally a bad move as your spending around 300-400 dollars (plus the game) just to get like 20-100 hours of enjoyment (usually 20). What I'd suggest is researching other available games out now for the wiiu or will be coming out soon for it.
I mean don't get me wrong MH is a great game series but doesn't justify a console buy on its own.

For those numbers I was actually using the typical game as an example which usually end up around those times. My main point was simply if you do it and then find that you no longer enjoy it or didn't like the game then what? Now you're stuck with the equivalent of a high tech paper weight.

| I did my research on the 3DS before I bought one for that very reason I only have three games mainly because that is all I am interested at the moment. There are games already out and that are coming out that I do want to play like legend of zelda ocarina of time 3D, kingdom hearts, the newest legend of zelda announced, fire emblem awakening, and many more. For video game consoles you really do need to put your research in to what you are going to buy.
Wii u for me doesn't have much at the moment than maybe monster hunter. It does have a good amount of games that are going to be released that will keep me really deep in to it for a while with the announcement of the re-release of legend of zelda wind waker which I unfortunately have not had the chance to play. New monolithsoft game coming out along with other potential games, but you really need to do your research in to what the console has or you are eventually going to grow bored of it and what the poster above me said a high tech paper weight.

| The Wii U ver. has online multiplayer and hd graphics (which aren't that great) but overall the same game. Since you already have the 3ds ver. you can transfer your save back and forth from the wiiu and the 3ds to keep progress. At the end is your choice if you want to spend $300+ for a console and a game or not. | |
