| Anyone else getting a WiiU only for MH? Its actually the only reason I got a wii, and is the reason im keeping mine.
Btw
Can you use wii remotes and classic controller pros with the WiiU? The new controller looks ridiculous. (not the gamepad)

| It's why I got a Wii U now, as opposed to waiting until I heard of some other game launching that would make the system indispensible (Metroid, Zelda).
CCP is definitely compatible - it's even the preorder bonus if you order from Capcom. I'm trying to decide between the CCP and the digital guide for pre-ordering.

(not the gamepad) This thread gives you all the game features as well as the controller options: https://mhwiki.forumotion.net/t9418-mh3u-full-features-listAs far as getting the WiiU just for MH, regardless of my fandom status, I would never by a gaming system just for one game. Luckily the wiiu has many features and games though MH3U is my most anticipated.

| An amazing tax refund, great price on my system + HD and an awesome trade in bonus for a game I never played made me get a Wii U for this game. =D
I know I'm eventually going to buy a Wii U for Metroid ... whenever that comes out.
$220 for my brand new Wii U and $30 for a 160 HD (with its own power supply) = $250 total. I'll never beat that price, even in a year when the system goes on sale. Sales tax is 10 percent in Chicago.
Note: Trade in bonus was to purchase this game, got about $36 total for Mario 3DS and some throw away game that gave me like $8.

| Yeah, the WiiU was only a maybe for me until 3U was announced for it. I spent a lot of money buying a WiiU and an HDTV, as well as a WiiU controller pro, just so I could play monster hunter optimally...
I'll probably get a few other games though like Pikmin 3 and Tloz:WW HD

| Basically I wouldn't get a WiiU if MH wasn't announced for it, but nonetheless, my little sisters love various games on the WiiU, and me and my other MH playing brother both have other games we'd like to try on it (he also loves the hell of Metroid, while I haven't really loved those games since Fusion, I still give each one that lands in our hands a try). I'll also at some point (if I can accrue the cash) get myself a 3DS, would love to play two player offline with my lil' bro (pretty sure that's a feature for those that own both). | |

| The main game I wanted for it, my checklist for stuff I need for a new console slowed me down from getting the wii u for it though.....I almost was forced to get 3DS version, which don't get me wrong is fine, but I'd be heavily limited due to lack of hunters here. The last barrier was an HD TV (our household would fight over the only one we have) which I found wasn't needed since you can use wii cables to use a standard TV. | |

| Don't forget, you can also play solely on the Wii-U gamepad, so you won't be a contributing factor to fighting over the TV! | |

Let me just add how GREAT!!! of an added feature to the WiiU games this is.. A few weeks ago when My TV went out permanently I was still able to play most of my WiiU games and still able to use the internet browser and Miverse... If I didn't have a 3DS and the WiiU was my only Videogame source for MH3U.. This feature would have been a life saver as I would still be able to play at home (as i did with other games). So, even if you do get a WiiU just for MH3U know that it gives you something special..

| I would have not gotten the WIIU if it wasn't for the MH3U announcement... well, at least not early on. None of the games that have been released for it interest me, nor the games currently on track to be released.
On another note, I have never gotten a 360, but I am sure if MH3U was having an exclusive release on that system, I would have bought it. Personally, I hate the 360, so that shows how much push this game has for me. I measure an investment in how much I can get out of it, and if prior MH games are any indication, I will get hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of entertainment out of it.
2 hour movie = $15.00 = $7.50/hour
1000hours MH3U + WiiU = $400.00 = $0.40/hour
So I am getting roughly 40cents per hour entertainment value out of MH3U if I play for only 1000 hours (completely doable), If I don't ever play another game on the WiiU, it is still a great investment on a per hour basis just because of the MH3U

| The gamepad would have been the solution if I didn't find out about the cable first. And the way I see it:
Movie: One time, done. You know story and whatnot, never watch it again unless someone else hasn't seen it. Also: You can find out the entire story online for free and thus make it pointless to buy.
Game: Even a bad one lasts more hours then a movie. If you look it up...there (should) be more then the story to keep you busy; no vivid description can substitute feeling the gameplay/experince first hand. When all is said and done, you can replay it. You can do it completely different from last time, add personal challenges, and sometimes a hard mode is unlocked for you.
In the end: Game is worth more then a movie by a landslide.

| Got my WiiU the month it was released, was worried it would be like the Wii was when it was released here ages ago. Sold out in every store for six months. I don't regret getting it, even if I haven't played anything but my old Wii games on it. Have my WiiU pro controller waiting for the 19th as well, I'll probably never get off it whenever I have free time. While I got it mostly for MH3U, I am looking forward to TLoZ:WWHD too. Besides that nothing has caught my eye yet, but I'm sure more great games are to come. Should probably pick up Pikmin 3 when it comes out too. Maybe Batman too sometime, but money is tight atm, reason I pre-ordered MH3U during the holidays. | |

| MH3U is the push I needed to get the wiiU. I was still on the fence about it. I was kind of bummed that I would not be able to play my old GameCube games, but it looks like they might start offering those as virtual consoles. Loz:WW was really the only one I still played, and the HD version is coming out. I am interested in ZombieU, but I don't know if I will get it. | |
