HI all.

I'm new on the forum, but I've been playing Monster Hunter since forever Yes by vort

.
I started playing when the first one released on the PS2.

I am South African, live in the city of Johannesburg and hope that I will be able to receive and give useful information on this forum to help new rookie hunters appreciate this series as well as build my knowledge of the hunter world. I also hope to make some new friends that I can join on some hunting trips someday when I can afford a Wii U to be able to play online :'( (single players feels so strange now that I can't play online)

Monster Hunter (PS2)
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP)
Monster Hunter Tri (Wii)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)

Wow, I don't think there has ever been someone from South Africa on the forums before, If you don't mind me asking, are the servers there separate to the rest of the world, or do you play on American/European servers? (for MHTRI)

Haha yeah, there isn't a lot of people on this side that appreciates the frustration and long gameplay that Monster Hunter offers.

For MHTri I used to play on European servers if I'm not mistaken. The latency to US and other countries is just too high.

Yeah I would of thought you would use the european servers, I believe even australians use those servers!

Yes us, Australians play on the EU servers for MHTri, as I'm one of them, I have seen some South Africans on the game during my time, even though, I've played with Americans on the EU servers, in the last dying months of MHTri, which now I play MH3U and get to play cross-regional.

I probably might have run into you on the servers at some stage.

It just sucks that MH3U requires a Wii U to play online Sad by vort

, Hunting alone sucks.
I've finished the 1,2 and 3 star quests, need to do kill the Gobul tonight so I'm still busy with the LR quests. But I like to go online once I reach the higher ranked quests and have decent armor etc. so that there's more cannon fodder or, more appropriately, Monster Fodder or Talon Fodder on the field than just me :D . . . But for now my challenge is just to see how long my Undying spree is gonna last as I Haven't fainted on MH3U yet!
