| I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions im a Hbowgun my current armor is Highrank Narga and i tend to use all shots when hunting (apart from pellet and pierce is for elder dragons as recoil on them gets me killed normally), and any ideas of what to gem in will be cool too | |

| Depends what you want. No full set gives desired skills for any type of hbg. | |

| Gem in for recoil so you have at worst "some" recoil. that way you can fire pierce 1-3 without any major recoil and suddenly pierce gunning becomes available to you. but yeah the armor sets I have used so far were: Lagombi LR for the evade distance up Volvi HR(with leather pants) that gave me: AuM, eva+1, adre+2, tremor proof.
currently I have a Vangis X set that I absolutely just love.
Speed eating+2 evade distance up combo pro wrath awoken load up (will replace either evade distance or combo pro for eva+1 once I get a evasion charm that got more than +3)
as for good skills for hbg... eva+1 is a MUST(even more so if you don't use shield attachment)
evade distance extender is another option
recoil down is always nice because it gives you more time to dodge stuffs and increases your damage output in general
any attack booster, such as CE, AuS/M/L, adre+2/wrath awoken
depending on what type of ammo you use pierce/normal up is nice
combo pro is nice aswell since it will always give you the maximum shots when you combine so you can maximise the ammount of ammo you have. And it's easy to gem in aswell.
But well yeah... There are ALOT of good skills for hbg but in the end it's all about your preferences really.

| If you use crouch fire often evade+1 on HBG becomes useless. Basically what i encountered with HBG pattern goes like this: skill buffing certain type of ammo (pierce/pellet/normal up etc.) + recoil down+1 (always enough) + buff skill like Critical Eye+3, Challenger+2. If you can gem in evade go for it, but in most cases without god tali u can't. Also evade is useless on speedruns, only usable on solo runs or with LBG.
Personally i run set Pierce up, Critical eye+2, evade+1, recoil+1 with LBG with pierce when i'm facing jho, but in other cases i go for challenger+2, recoil+1, pierce up with black blos HBG.

| Oh right I should give some general advice or whatnot.
LBG should mainly go for element. Anything involving raw is done much better by a hbg, LBG sets will tend to want.
Bonus shot Element attack up (or the respective element if you dont have ala) evade+1 Reload Speed
Also lbg should mostly be firing elements so keep their limiters on for rapid fire fun. For hbg it's specific from weapon to weapon but in general
Pierce/pellet level 3 want recoil down+1
Your skills wanted in order of priority Evade Dist Up Normal/pellet/pierce up depending on weapon Insert damage skill here Insert damage skill here

| Since you are G rank critical eye +3 is superior to attack buffs. I have never found evasion +1 useful and I can fit more important things like AuS in conjunction to critical eye. You'd want all available damage buffs on HBG; really all attacks can be evaded through without evasion+1 without a problem. | |

| I'm with Haruno in the need for evade distance. It is just awesome on HBG (I like it on light as well)! After that, it is really up to your style. If recoil is slowing you down on your chosen shot, it should be fairly high priority. There are some sets that are okay for general use, but you will always do better specializing for element/damage/specific shot/status/ etc. | |

| I made the Azure Rathalos set as i had most of the stuff (mainly i dint need to farm for mantles) is it better for me to gem in recoil or evade (11 slots counting a charm and then 0-2 more slots depending on my bowgun) | |

| You made the Azure Rathalos armor so it would be boosting normal shots. I am assuming you are using the Rathian, Goldbeard Ceadeus, or Nether HBG which doesn't need recoil reducers. Gem in CE+3 and get evade extender. | |

| Yawn what does azure los armor even give? I'm using some random ugly mixed set for crit eye+3, evade extender, weakness exploit and normal up with nether hbg and it seems to be fine...... | |

| It does give earplugs, so something to consider i guess but most times gunners are far enough away to not be too impacted by roars. | |

| Eh, if you are using normal Shot you want to be fairly close. I actually really like earplugs, but they aren't necessary, just nice. | |
