| I have monster hunter tri and am thinking of buying MHFU, mainly because I want a portable one. but I do have a few questions...
Are the monsters the same in MHFU as in tri? I know there are different gens, should I think of this as pokemon? As in that they are entirely new monsters.
Is portable 3rd better? because I'm willing to wait for an European release...
(I also like it because it's cheap)

| Okay, to take it down one by one:
Tri only shares Diablos, Rathalos, and Rathian with Freedom Unite. Freedom Unite is also much larger than P3rd or Tri, but also much hader. So, Freedom Unite.
And as of current Capcom has no plans to release P3rd outside of Japan. | |

Oh say it aint so. I thought it was going to be here in july.
Tri is nothing compared to the size of unite. Way more weapons, armors, and monsters. The only thing I don't like about it is having to use my ps3 to play other people online, and the camera control (only having one joystick.) you never know with capcom. sometimes they release things later than they should (or change them suddenly due to costs like tri did). I hate the camera controls too lol. Tri had a good camera for me though but i still liked unite more. | |
