Bowgun Question

First topic message reminder :

So I have read here and there that Normal is the new Pellet shot, and I can't say I argue with that logic after using it a few times. My question is this, is Norm 2 more consistent with damage long term then Norm 3 or the other way around?

I used GLs all the way up the end of High Rank and decided to swap to Bowguns which is what I primarily used in Tri, so I am playing a bit of catch up.

Damage is the only thing that affects a quest. More damage = faster kill times.

How often and how much damage you do are the other factors but ehhh.

Edit: underwater on miralis/caedeus you use Nethers siege pierce and normal respectively and I don't use diablos hbg since I absolutely hate pierce since its far too inconsistent damage and normal/element does a better job.

Ok, so i did HR Jho with Diamond Crest LBG. It took me 13 minutes to kill and i run out of ammo lol. Not major improvement but i feel more safe and Jho never even sctarches me. Even though the time was better now i see what you mean by that LBG really lack power... shame. I'm not sure if i'll be able to kill G rank one with this weapon.
