Pointless topic is pointless but yeah, after Power watching a bunch of trailers and some gameplay on Twitch TV of people playing MH4, we seriously need an announcement or confirmation on if we are ever getting this.

Well nova no more waiting on news. We are getting MH4U not MH4 but hey its an update to a great 3DS MH game and we will have it shortly after Japan. Though almost a year and a half after MH4. But hey at least we are getting it!!

No they are not missing anything. The east will get mh4g, which will be localised as mh4u. Same game, same content, different name, different language.

We're bound to get MH4 sometime though.

MH4Ultimate not MH4. We will be getting the game as the updated version. Think of it in the same way MH3Ultimate was an update of MHtri. Same basic game but with more.. everything.

That would seem logical, start selling it in the West a couple weeks before Christmas.

They already announced it will release in japan fall 2014 and early 2015 in the west. Not late. The same way they released 3U.

If Konami do release it early 2015 they are super retarded and just dislike making money. They should either release christmas 2014 or christmas 2015.

Konami? If they disliked making money so much, Konami wouldn't release it in the first place.

If they released it late 2014 in Japan, there would be no reason to wait an entire year to release it here. Localization does not take that long.

if the disliked making money Konami would release before the official japan release, cause the amount of money they would be sued would be enourmos.

also as this is the g-version of the game i trust they will get it done till early 2015, as most of it has allready been done, they only have to work on whats new, but i don't think there will be too much work there as i assume that most of the new monsters will be subs. And as all the machanics are allready developed there is no need to put up with them too much (maybe refining them a little).
and allways remember, you can transfere your data from 4, so there wont be any (or only some minor) changes throughout low and highrank, which also means there is not too much room for major changes at all, as they will only be in G-rank; and as we know from previous games (3U being the exception, but there was no data transfere between 3 ad 3U) the only changes will be 3-4 new monsters some subspecies and some new areas.

My bet is september/october 2014 in Japan and february/march in US/EU as they clearly said fall 2014 in Japan and early 2015 in the west. There's really no point (beside some really odd hunch) in assuming right now that the west release will move till the end of 2015. Actually release dates of 3U allow us to conclude that they want to repeat the cycle from those instalments. If I recall correctly release of 3G HD in Japan was at the end of the 2012 and 3U in the west on march 2013.
