| See topic.
After a couple of months of playing Skyrim, I am returning to MH3U (for the Wii U.
I am replaying as a bowgunner this time. I've never really gotten into them, though (I mainly use a hammer or dual swords.)
I am entertaining suggestions as to what bowgun paths I should use and what armor sets I should craft.

| If you're using HBG, a decent set you can get really early on is the LR Wroggi Set. It comes with Normal Up and looks cool. When you get to it, you really want to get the Ceadeus HBG. It gets the highest raw of any bowgun when fully upgraded. You also want the Azure los set when you get to it. You can gem in Crit Eye +3, Earplugs, and Normal Up. A great set for HBG. Health -10 isn't a problem. | |

| do you have to restart? Just go buy a bowgun and armor then start on 1* and practice your way up until you can beat the monsters at the HR you are on with the BG.. | |

| There's nothing wrong with restarting, dcj. It's not a waste of time to start over a game he enjoys and wants to go through with a different playstyle. | |

| Meta.. your speaking to someone who restarted the game after 100+ hours just to make a matching name and outfit "Green Arrow" of course I know there is nothing wrong with it. I was only suggesting.
In a 6,000+ hour game you can restart after 2,000 hours and it wouldn't be much of a waste of time ;)

| cool thing i noticed about restarting as a gunner in Low Rank they give you shots so stock up (grind with blade weapons or just take on easy quests and dont use shots) and in High Rank your quest reward money is so high you can just buy your Lvl 1 shots and all your Pierce. Pellet and Normal shots (you shouldn't spend more than 1500 to get everything) | |

| I already had LR Wroggi in mind - its poison immunity makes the regular Gigginox hunt much easier.
Is there something later on that is resistant to Thunderblight? Because I will be fighting Baleful Nox later on.

I think you get more of a feel for damage comparison by creating a new hunter, sort of comparing how fast you do quests than when you used a different weapon.

| LR Gigginox has 12 point into Hearing, and it has awesome thunder resistance, although B.Nox I don't think is all that susceptible to status effects | |

I think you get more of a feel for damage comparison by creating a new hunter, sort of comparing how fast you do quests than when you used a different weapon. It is easier for a lot of people to focus on one weapon at a time Gobul, also it saves on space.. but does take a little more time (well worth it though) and a good learning process especially if it's a new weapon that someone is learning to use. _______________________________________________________ @ Jake, Can you get the shadow shades? 14 points to stun.. one more you get full negate instead of half. Also, if you mess around a bit you should be able to get a nice mixed set between the 2 gigglenox's and maybe some pieces from other monsters. Hearing, Negate stun, High lighning resistance and other stuff that will help.

| I did the same thing, I enjoyed using the Guild Bard set. Made the Archer's set (kind of sucks but looks cool). If you're like me and enjoy full set flavor, HR Ivory Lagi doesn't suck for general purpose. | |
