PostBayonetta 1/2 WiiU

So the game has officially released in Japan and while most have already played the original on the PS3 and or 360 already is anyone planning on Picking up Bayonetta 2 and replaying B1's boxed coppy before hand?

with or without some of the cosplay?

in B2

The costumes add new powers along with a new look so for me in B2 their out but since I've been through B1 a few times I'll probably switch through them and see what they can do.

And while I would like to play through B1 once more I am looking forward to getting started on B2 once it is released so no promises on beating the first game again Yes by vort

Also for those who just want the first or 2nd game nintendo is putting each on the eShop at a discounted price. So your basically getting the same deal as those buying both in stores for the pric of one.. but no full deatails have been "officially" released yet.

Spoiler:

For those who don't know the game allows for full screenshots on the nintendo Miverse and is currently viewaable on the Japanse miiverse.

That's GameSPOT not stop. Gamestops magazine Gameinformer is famous for talking down on a lot of nintendo game though overall it gave Bayonetta 2 a 9/10.

Oddly though several "media" sources have complained about bayonetta 2 framerate, graphics, storyline, control schem and several other things I have read...

the overall scores for it have been:

Destructoid, Edge, Gamespot: 10/10

Eurogamer, Game Informer, GameTrailers, IGN, NintendoLife, Nintendo World Report, Metro GameCentral: 9+/10

Polygon: 7.5/10 They said, "...It's sexist, gross pandering, and it's totally unnecessary."

So if you're one of those people who buy a game based on scores... hope this helps!

Polygon says everything is sexist since they are upheld by SJWs and people who sleep with feminists in the indy gaming community and are unwilling to uphold journalistic standards.

This was established very heavily over the past year. I'd rather not discuss Gamergate on here, but it's overwhelmingly established that what I just said is fact.

If you want to know more about how I can say that so assuredly, check it out here:

Vort, most ratings are just opinions.. but when a majority of reviewers give something a 9 or 10 then someone suddenly jumps in with a 7... I don't think you have to establish why they are wrong. I think it's pretty self evident.

oh right typo, corrected it.

and i'm generally not that much into scores, i rather focus on what the review itself says, but getting a 10 out of 10 on a side that has only rated 7 other games that good in the last ~20 years, it propably means something...

I could care less about the actual rating, the dismissal of the game's content in a brash manner only verifies what Gamergate has proven about their journalistic integrity in general.

Reviews could be opinionated in some cases, but they are supposed to be affected much less on personal opinion and much more by the physical quality of the game's content. If you are worried about opinionated reviews, consult an aggregated review site like metacritic to amass reviews into a more reliable indication of its quality.

When you have a personal preference in games (for example, JRPGs, which always receive bad reviews because the general public is not a fan of JRPGs), then you should simply ignore reviews unless they are absolutely horrible (indicating something seriously went wrong in the game's development process). Like I would buy any new Tales series game even if it got 6/10 on IGN, since I'm a fan of the series. If it has 60 on metacritic, then it's getting a bit risky.

... I don't know. I think you should get what you like regardless of what others think.

Yeah. But this discounts the idea that you sometimes don't know what you like.

I think the percentage of people that buy games solely based on reviews are low. By that, I mean people will never fail to purchase a game that they know they will like if it only gets an 8/10 instead of 9.5 or something like that.

If they don't know they would like a game (I've never played a bayonetta game, I have no idea if I'd like it unless it was a really good game), then ratings are usually a reliable indicator as to whether you will be able to enjoy the game. I will probably buy bayonetta now, solely because of how great of reviews it has received. Platinum games obviously put in a huge amount of work to make the game great if it's been so well received. I thought it might have framerate issues but I haven't seen complaints. Maybe only on multiplayer framerate issues could arise.
