| See topic.
I just beat him for the first time in the two-star Port Tanzia quest, "The Horned Wyvern."
I am also to his eight-star hunt quest in Moga Village (also called "The Horned Wyvern.")
My primary weapons are my Barroth Hammer and various Dual Swords. I really like wearing my Barroth S Armor (AuM, DuS, Raise Hunger, Guard +1 - I gemmed Capture Guru into it.)
I am prepared to repeat the quest one quilliard (a page of zeroes with a one in front of it) times to get all the various parts from him.
Would farming him for armor or a specific Hammer or Dual Sword work out for me?

| That monster has some pretty good looking pieces of armor, and the skills are also pretty good... to an extent. His best stuff are mostly for GS users though... He also has a pretty decent HBG (Possibly the best vs Cedeus/G-Cedeus).
I wouldn't say farming him is "necessary", but if you enjoy fighting any monster in the MH series, I suggest you get all you need to from it, just for fun. You never know what you might want to do down the line. I enjoyed fighting the Lucent Nargacuga tons, and eventually when I wanted to make certain weapons and armors, I had way more than enough to make both the gunner and blademaster armors, as well as pretty much all weapons that needed his stuff... yep, tons of cloudy moonshards, lol.
