PostBest Fallout 3 Moments

Like the title says post your funny/epic/random/best Fallout 3 moments. You don't have to post one for each. Just post what you think is worthy.

One of my funniest moments was at the super mutant camp on the way to Rivet City. I got rid of all the mutants (so i thought) then I used the bed to heal. When I woke up i woke to a super mutant just standing there. I was just like "umm... k?" Then took it out with the minigun lol.

Another was i was running away from a bandit and ran up some stairs. After I got up i turned around and he said "You're going to die" or something like that then I got non-V.A.T.S. shot on his leg, blown it off and his body fell down the stairs haha I laughed so hard.

Well, I was just cruising the wasteland (still pretty early in the game) and came across the "Charnel house" full of raiders.

So I start trying to murderize them when this freakin super mutant jumps out of nowhere and beats a few of them to death for me, then he runs at me so I VATS and que a couple shots on his head when I realize not only does he register as friendly but he has a name........Uncle Leo.

As I talk to him, one of his options demands he give me his stuff (basically armed robbery) and he just tells me he's sorry he cant give me more and hands over some clothes.

After that he just wanders off.

lol thats priceless haha

I have a more recent one. A deathclaw was chasing me the other day. All the way to this grandmas place near the main river in the middle of the city. (I can't remember her name) And i through a mine around that area but i did as i was backing up. What I didnt realise is that i was passing the grandma character as i was throwing it. So it blew up on her so i was left with a limbless grandma and 1 pissed of deathclaw lol

OH MY GOD YOU BLEW UP GRANDMA SPARKLES!

Why were you trying to blow up a Deathclaw anyway?

I usually just shoot them in the face with "The Terrible Shotgun".

Ok, here's one of my favourites.

I was wandering around discovering locations when this dude runs up and forces a dialogue thing.

He is wearing leather armour, pointing a sawn-off shotgun in my face (attempting to rob me) and I notice that his name is "Mel". After he demands my stuff I have a few options, the best of which is to point out that (because of my high perception or guns skill) I can tell that his gun isn't loaded.

He admits defeat and because he's a reference to one of my favourite movies, I let him live (Not the usual case for people who pull that sort of crap :D )

your right haha, and I used a mine on a deathclaw cuz i wasn't thinking haha just wanted to blow it to hell haha.

Have you ever thrown a grenade in V.A.T.S. mode and thought it had enough room to fly to your enemy but had it fly back at you? I mean i wasn't damaged cuz i was in V.A.T.S. but it still pissed me off cuz it went behind me lol

Nice, but as a matter of fact it hasn't happened to me cause I don't throw grenades.

I just hoard them in megaton, I must have at least a thousand by now. :D

Hmmm....... damn, now my curiousity has been awakened, I'll have to check when I go home for lunch.

Now let's see, the "Shady Sands Shuffle" is always funny to pull off.

Have you started playing New Vegas yet?

Don't get too hyped up over it.

There are some good additions but it is a very, very similar game to Fallout 3.

Which is fine with me but the engine is starting to show it's age.

Gambling is fun though..........most of the time, I'm about 300 caps in the red at the moment. Sad by vort

Damn Blackjack dealer must be cheating.

Not debt exactly, you can't get credit or anything like that but it keeps track of how much you have won/lost in each casino.

Currently I only gamble at 1 casino but now instead of being 300 caps in the red, I am now 600 caps in the green.

You just gotta save your game before you bet it all and if you lose reload your game.

Although there is an anti cheating measure in place, you have to wait 60 seconds after each load game before you can gamble again, annoying but not impossible. Sad by vort

My only problem now is my casino's bet limit is too small, I'm a high roller now and I need a flash casino to accommodate me. :P

Best Fallout 3 moment...Would be one of my battles with one of those Super Mutant behemoths. I wasn't aware that one of them had a prized teddy...so I picked it up. The bastard came out of nowhere. luckily, I had my stealth suit. My favorite combo was the stealthsuit + Shocksword combo--which I used on him--so it took awhile for me to kill it. I'd sneak-hit it, but because it's so big, it'd run around trying to look for me and eventually come into contact with me. So, it was one big battle based on hitting, and running to save my ass. lol.

I got new Vegas too. On my second playthrough, I went through that road next to the Goodsprings Cemetary. I was looking for XP, so I thought I was gonna pick off a few bloatflies or coyotes. At one point, I snuck up on a radscorpion, and was like "Oh yea, good xp!"....so I shot it, and two more, along with a Giant radscorpion came trailblazing after me! They followed me all the way back to Good Springs. I thought I'd make a stand, find a high ledge, and use their AI stupidity against them. I did, and as soon as I turned around, I noticed that pack of Cazador were with them!(Note: For those who haven't played NV, a pack of Cazador can kill you faster than a deathclaw....lol). So I watched them battle it out, then all of a sudden, a friggin (blind)Deathclaw came out of nowhere, and beat the living mess out of what was left. So then, after a few minutes of pelting it with my weak-ass Vermit rifle, I finally killed the deathclaw and leveled up.

Telling that last story feels like I made it up, lol. It was just so random. XD

I know the spot you mean, a big family of radscorpions lives down the hill from the cemetery (had to kill them all for their eggs) and there are like 3 swarms of cazador's over the next rise, a very bad place to be.

But I had to find a way through to get a unique weapon I wanted, turns out you can sneak around using the hills to the left.

The Deathclaw appearing is just really bad luck, I know they live nearby but that's like a 5 minute walk from Goodsprings.

Out of curiosity, what were you hiding on top of so they couldn't reach you?

Don't remember exactly, but it was just one of the big rocks near the base of the cemetary. I went back there and I found another deathclaw wandering around foot of the hill. :/

Now that you mention it....my guy does have 1 Luck point. lmao

By the way. which unique weapon is this you're talking about?

1 LUCK POINT!

Holy Crap, you must never get critical hits, or win at the Casino's.

Anyway, there is a unique combat knife called Chance's Knife in a grave near a Great Khan camp that is overrun with Cazadores.

If you manage not to fall foul of "teh orange death" it's a really good weapon for the start of the game since you can get it the moment you step out of the doctors house and saves you alot of ammo when killing the weak critters early in the game.

Well Boone and I do snipe alot. So critical hits come to me regardless. XD

Hmm, throughout the whole game, I've never really kept my eye open for shovels. Where can you get one?

Chet in goodsprings had one last time I looked or you can get a free one near one of the springs that Sunny Smiles shows you during her tutorial bit.

I think it's the middle spring but can't be certain.

I leave Boone in the
Spoiler:
, he's a kill hog.

What other unique weapons have you found?
