PostEVE Online

As some of you may know, I've recently gotten back into EVE Online. And while some may discredit the game, calling it little more than Spreadsheets Online, I believe it to be a very in-depth and complex game that provides its membership with a rich, player-driven environment and economy. To put simply, the players make the game what it is. If you love science fiction and have dreamed of commanding your own space-fairing ship, whether it be a covert-ops frigate, gliding through space undetected, a stalwart battleship brimming with guns and missile bays, or even a mining barge, carving into asteroids five times your size, gleaning the precious metals within, EVE has it all. So, I invite you, my friends of this forum, to join me in one of the most epic and innovative games online.

If you've never played the game, I have 9 friend invites I can hand out which give you access to a 21 day trial account. Simply PM me your e-mail and I'll get one to you.

If you have played the game before and quit for whatever reason, I invite you to return and join me and my modest corporation. We'll show New Eden what the people of this forum are capable of ;D

If you're still in the game, hit me up with a message, I can never have too many high standing contacts.

My characters and how often I play them.

Matric Harkness: My main and the CEO of Repurposed Armaments [REPUR]. Angel Cartel collector, I fly a Dramiel and a Macherial in high-sec and help out newbies with him. Frequency: Not much as I'm focusing on my newer characters.

Lyfeminer: My mining/industrial alt, flies a Retriever with deep core miners. Frequency: Only if I'm unable to mission for whatever reason.

Lysana Kousa: My Caldari carebear. I actually reactivated her to help out one of my closest friends as he gets into the game. Frequency: A lot, getting her trained up for a T2 fitted Drake for tanking.

Shiera Kuni: My Femme Fatale in a Stealth Bomber. Flying a Purifier, she's just looking for trouble, and prospective members to her gatecamping party. Frequency: A lot, or will soon be.

Armand Vos: My newest character. A loyal soldier of the MinMatar Republic Navy. Fighting for the freedom of his brothers and sisters still held in slavery in the Amarr homeworlds, he is forever conflicted with the taking of one life to protect another. Frequency: Probably a decent amount after Lysana's training is complete... and if I can find people to RP with.

A friend I work with actually wanted me to try out EVE Online, and kept telling me to get the trial. Just the other day, we were out in the backroom of the store, talking about games. I told him to try out MH, and he said to try EVE. And conveniently he bout another game just for the 30 day sub, and I guess it didn't work, so he gave it to me for free. It's the "Commissioned Officer Edition". I will try EVE for the 30 days, and if I like it, I'll buy another sub. Also, I would rather play with people than by myselt, so if anyone would like to help me out, or anything, let me know? Thanks.

Add my characters to your contacts list and also add Overfiend Kyrat. If you see either of us on, let him know that you know me *Preferrably as either Shiera or Lysana* or let me know, and we'll get you into the corp, which I'm using to train newbies.

I'm currently in a wormhole with most of my characters, so don't expect any company from me.

My alt is going to be doing level 4 missions in a couple of days, so if you want to train for a salvager, you can keep 30% of the salvaging money

You can never "find everything out" in eve. I have been playing for a year and still dont know certain aspects of the game.

Be warned:

EVE Online 2335016192_6003c39c4c

That said, it's by far the best MMORPG in my opinion. It's developers really care about the players, and if you have a problem with a game you can send them a message in game and you usually get a response within an hour. As well, they release two expansions every year. (Pretty freaking awesome!)

And a new expansion is being released June 21st, so you are starting at a good time.

I'm excited about Incarna and what it will bring. Final goal, full immersion outside of the capsule. Station walking will be epic.

Vort get your info right or dont post at all...

On that graph at one point World of Warcraft is above 2 other MMORPG's ....granted thats at the early part and in the later part its below them, but it belongs consistently below all of them. a trained monkey could play wow and succeed.... =P

psssst...if you cant tell im just messing with ya, but i is srs about that chart and wow...=P

Hm... What does EVE cost then?

15 bucks a month basically, but if you buy a year at a time you will save 50 bucks for each year you buy. (So if you buy a single year you save 50 bucks compared to buying 12x one month subscriptions)

And yes, you will be playing for multiple years, because how good your character is in the game DIRECTLY is related to the amount of time you have been playing, since skills take real time to train.

I still have plenty of 21 day trials to give out. After that, it's either $14.95, $12.95, $10.95 a month dependent on which subscription you get. Vort, might need a little help on the accuracy of those numbers. I know the 3 month sub is 12-SOMETHING because I have it.

in order to activate your character, it costs 12.95, for each month it costs 15 dollars (about that amount), i know because i just bought 3 months a couple weeks ago.
