| Question: do you guys think they will/should put in a data conversion system from tri?
If so, to what extent should it be to?

| I'd prefer something like what 'It's Meh' suggested, a special armor or weapon. Although, this would mean those who missed out on Tri, or can't afford a Wii won't be able to get it. But I'd rather restart from scratch than have everything with me already. I'd welcome that 'veteran's armor' set, as long as the skills can be shrugged off after a certain point early on. /yes/ | |

| One Question - how the **** could you do it? Its not like you can put Tri's data on an SD card and use that.
No, because its likely impossible.

| The Wii can communicate with the 3DS to en extent can it not? Tri already uses the character to Wii-Mote transition. | |

| Part of the fun of the MH series is working your way up from nothing and having a genuine feeling of actually accomplishing something through hard work. I don't want to be given scraps from an old game I want to have fresh meat from a new game... | |

I agree, but it would be nice just to have some bonus gear for playing tri on the wii

I want it to be a fresh start, without any benefits for veterans. Keep the playing field level, so to speak.

I agree, but it would be nice just to have some bonus gear for playing tri on the wii I wouldn't like anything overpowered tho. Maybe some gimmick armour/weapon/skill for fun...

This is what people got when they asked how they would be able to transfer their D/P Pokemon to Battle Revolution. Except Revolution was a bit cack and MH kinda isn't.

| Imo I think a data transfer would be good, but only for the character and certain items, cuz if you get everything(+armors and high rank weapons) it would make it boring, I would do this only to rescue my character, but I prefer starting from 0 | |

Isn't that one of the main aspects of the game ?

Isn't that one of the main aspects of the game ? Not really... I don't think they ever wanted us to "grind" for ranks. They should come just naturally after making armor sets, weapons, helping friends, and doing key quests.

| This is however, because I am a terribly lazy person, and I really can't imagine doing the whole storyline over again. I AM going to do every single mission over again, this time either using a bow or set of dual swords, but I'd love to keep all my lovely weapons and armor. Perhaps they could do something like say that all your stuff got left at someplace, and then finally give it to you after the story ended, or something like that. All in all, 100+ hours down the drain would make me very very sad. | |

| It all depends on whether you can do guild quests offline, I've realised. If you can, then the Rank system will be as it is in Unite. If Guild is online only, then it'll likely be a similar system to Tri's ranks. | |

Yeah, you'll be able to do guild quests offline. It's a completely different system to Tri's and people gotta learn that, lol. Supporting screenshot to show return of Unite's ranking system: EDIT: Also, high rank village quests!! :D
