I agree. I don't think Capcom will screw us over again. I can't wait until E3. If they are going to make a formal announcement, it will probably be there.

^He and several other Capcom US staff members have said more than just that as well.

To be honest the western Capcom staff is just as frustraited as the western fans are. If they do know anything they are not allowed to talk about and if they don't know anything they keep getting asked about it regardless.

"Be patient" is basically the only answer they can give because thats all they can do as well.

I do want to offer a word of warning though.... just a caution. Based on what has been said from "the cost of tri servers" don't be suprised if a new MH does come out in the west if the tri servers are reduced or discontinued all together.

The Tri servers won't matter much at that point. The Wii seems to have a shelf life. I don't know any early Wii adopters that have a working disc reader on their Wii.

And with the Wii U coming, and non transferable Tri data, Tri, and Monster Hunter in the west in general, will take a back seat to the current gaming generation.

They really need to be able to say SOMETHING at E3 about Monster Hunter, otherwise MH will take a back seat in our minds too. At which point a Tri G announcement won't have the oomph it would now.

It may sound like bad new but it's actually not. First off Nintendo has already said they will be the only ones with playable 3DS and WiiU systems... So Capcom couldn't show off any 3DS games at their booth if they wanted. 2nd: It does sound like they will be talking about 3g and/or MH4 at E3 which IMO would be pointless if there were no intentions of releasing them in the west as E3 is basically a western event overall. If they wanted to talk about MH4 it was only going to be Japan releases then they should only talk about it at a japan event. Also 3G is already out in japan, what would be the point in talking about it anywhere else if they are not releasing it anywhere else?

But like always.. Speculation overall until the actual event.

I saw that post as well earlier but decided not to mention it here because it is only speculation by someone that is not related to Capcom. Keep that in mind.

Though Tri did not do well in Japan overall it's sells I. The west were just as good as most of Capcoms titles on "single systems". Though according to what I have seen this still did not reach Capcoms expectations for some reason. However I would still take the above link and statements very lightly until after this years E3 as it is one persons opinion "from Japan" who has nothing to do with Capcom.

Still, haven't a few people said this now? How long can we keep clinging to rays of hope and ignoring people (who are at least important enough to warrant an article) who think/say we'll be lucky to get the game?

I googled him and nothing that would seem to say "Person who works in gaming industry" shows up. I mean that doesn't say a lot about how notable he is.

People will usually see the articles at some point regardless. Instead of them getting blown out of proportion I'd rather them be mentioned by credible members. And I did mention in my post that he was in no way related to capcom. "Opinion" articles should be taken as that... Opinions.

Though I myself "As a fan" would love to see Capcom bring MH3g and other MH's to the west we all need to keep in mind that they are a business and it is always likely that they can always decide to not bring it, cancle the series, change the series entierly or many other things. That's not saying to lose hope but that's not saying to hate iether... that's just saying to always keep those things in mind.

My instinct is telling me that Capcom is sending out feelers on the demand for Tri G in the West by how much fan outrage they can muster creating negative buzz about its chances for an English language release to send a message to Capcom in Japan. I think the biggest hurtle is the fact that North America is much larger than Japan and they'd have to reprogram the game to include global servers, unless like with Portable 3rd they create a console port and find a way to link the Wii and the 3DS on the same online signal much like the PSP can utilize the PS3 for online gameplay using Ad Hoc party.

Well the Wii U is apparently supposed to have a lot of 3DS support, so my guess is that Capcom may have Tri G as both a 3DS version and a Wii U version with better graphics, or they may do the Ad Hoc style of connection.

Fact 1: Nintendo said they'll be the only company that will be demoing Nintendo hardware at e3, if I remember correctly.

Fact 2: Iwata said in the recent Nintendo Direct that they will not be dealing with any 3ds related news at e3. But that they have plenty 3ds stuff to discuss at "other upcoming opportunities".

Ergo, E3 would actually be a terrible time to announce MH3G. Boo hiss.

To add to my conspiracy that Capcom actually has a reason to wait to announce MH3G:

A japanese magazine hinted that Nintendo will be releasing a new version of the 3DS as early as this summer. Specifics are unknown other than that the touch screen will be larger. It may have a second stick. If it does, that would possibly be an opportune time to announce 3G.

Couple of "small" corrections:

1st: Nintendo said that they would mainly focus on the the Wii U during their (on STAGE presentation). This does not mean there will be no news about the 3DS at E3, just little or none during the on stage portion of their talks. But that does not mean "Other oppertunities" does not mean oppertunities during E3 at their booths.

"We have a busy week ahead, including our on-stage E3 presentation where we'll continue to focus our attention on Wii U. But don't don't worry, we also have plenty of news about Nintendo 3DS to deliver during other upcoming oppertunities."

2nd: Nintendo dissmissed rumors (sort of) of a new 3DS modle this mornig stating that the news paper had their facts incorrect.
